What's the story here with his contract situation?
Is Sterling going to resign him?
Do you guys think he'll pick up his player option?
Any interest in an S+T involving some combination of Carter, Marcus Williams, Josh Boone, our 1st rounder plus the Dallas 1st rounder for Brand?
What's the state of mind relating to Brand here?
Elton Brand?

He has an option for next season. He'll either be a restricted FA this summer or unrestricted in '09.

No. HELL no.

We like him. Now I usually don't speak for everybody, but I doubt there'll be much disagreement about that.
But really, without EB, our franchise is...well, take a look at this season. Elton is everything that a pro ball player should be: he's passionate about his craft, works hard, is a great teammate, a strong leader, he doesn't talk any smack, and he respects everyone around him. In my extremely biased opinion, he should be a Clipper for life.

He'll either pick up his option for next year or he'll be an unrestricted free agent this summer...
Won't be restriced(but this moot given that he'll pick up his option).
Nice grab-- that's what I meant. Thanks for the correction.

I don't think anyone was "discussing it" at all...if you read the thread, the responses to the idea of trading EB range everywhere from "No, Hell no, and no possible way." There is no trace of any discussion pertaining to something so loco.
