We got a great record with gasol, what makes the people think it is just a casual. could you picture that lakers winning all those games with kwame?! it is not about kwame, but come on, watch his contribution. is so nice to watch him playing, is nice to watch lakers.

The long story short... We need them both.
They're both important to our hopes of winning a championship. We need Gasol's versatility and consistancy. But we're a pretty bad defensive team without Bynum.
Defense wins championships not offense. Look to the Suns of the last few years for confirmation. Every contending team right now could drop 130 on you if they didn't play D. The difference at the top is going to be how many points they allow.
In all honesty, I don't think we have much of a shot at the title without a healthy Kobe, Gasol, Bynum AND Ariza. But that's just me... IF we get everyone healthy by WCF, I think we might be favorites.
