Well, I think with kobe we'd probably just make the first round then get killed. With Pau, we probably wouldnt even make the playoffs. But the big men make a huge difference on D-fense.

I'd go with Pau atm, btw if bynum keeps improving next year maybe i have to change my mind.
Anyway both are different players and very important to us.

Gasol is more important

Kobe plays better
LO plays much better

Bynum is still the kid
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

+1

We got a great record with gasol, what makes the people think it is just a casual. could you picture that lakers winning all those games with kwame?! it is not about kwame, but come on, watch his contribution. is so nice to watch him playing, is nice to watch lakers.

The long story short... We need them both.

They're both important to our hopes of winning a championship. We need Gasol's versatility and consistancy. But we're a pretty bad defensive team without Bynum.

Defense wins championships not offense. Look to the Suns of the last few years for confirmation. Every contending team right now could drop 130 on you if they didn't play D. The difference at the top is going to be how many points they allow.

In all honesty, I don't think we have much of a shot at the title without a healthy Kobe, Gasol, Bynum AND Ariza. But that's just me... IF we get everyone healthy by WCF, I think we might be favorites.
