Is anyone else surprised by how entertaining and funny this guy is as an announcer? Every time I saw him coaching in NY and Houston, he looked like he was a dull guy who never slept. I actually enjoy listening to him do play by play. What does everyone think about JVG?

Ya, I mean, the guy breathes so much life into the game; guys like Breen and Jackson are too calculating and pompous, taking a lot of the fun out of the spectacle. It almost seems as if Breen tries to say **** to JVG during the broadcast to try and make himself look more superior to him. Anyone agree?

I love JVG, is is FAR better than the rest of the crew. He's funny, smart, and he understands the game in the way the others can't. I don't like Breen (he doesn't seem to know much and tries to put JVG down during the cast
), and Jackson is definitely a Laker homer, but I like him ok.
But JVG is definitely the shining star of the ESPN crew. Extremely entertaining.

i like him but today he was just sounding so biased towards the lakers
and i about sh*t a brick when the whole **** crew were in agreeance that damp shouldve been called for a flagrant, if that was a flagrant foul that wouldve just been flat out embarrasment. thats 1 of the things i hate about this league, there are no hard fouls anymore, b/c 75% of the time people call into question or expect a flagrant foul. damp was just a great example of a hard foul

SVG funnier, but Jeff does have a personality.
Great call on the Kobe rebound over Bass.
