The sad part is that we could have drafted him

Then we might not afford him

Would we want him?
The way Beno is playing, he is a starter in the league, but still around the range of 10-15. If that is the case, he will cost 6-10 million, meaning we won't be able to have a better PG ahead of him.
Would you really want Beno to be the starting PG on our team?
Personally, I say no. We need a top tier PG, or two solid PG's, and Beno is not a top tier PG, not good enough for a championship team.

I think it is more important to determine whether he is a good fit, which I think he is. I have said all year long that our offense looks much better with Beno than Bibby. Is Bibby a better player probably (although that could be debated the way Bibby has played the last year or so), but it is more about the fit rather than his point guard ranking.
I keep hearing we need a top 5 or top 10 point guard. I am all for it, but does anyone have any ideas on how to accomplish that. Everyone needs a top 5 point guard but only 5 teams are going to accomplish this. Picking 12th in the draft will not get us this and non of our assets will fetch us a top point guard. I would rather pay the MLE for Beno, than 10-15 million for someone like Arenas.
