He said he would play in the Finals if the Rockets reached it, but that would be a horrible idea especially when you look at the closest comparison to our situation (Knicks in '99.) If by some slim chance we reach the Finals, that means we would have already figured out how to prevent larger line ups from beating up on our relatively small frontline and grabbing second chance points. Having a recovering Yao who would have barely made a dent in rehabilitation at that point just slip into the lineup would screw everything up.
