Apparently you slept through last year's playoffs when he AVERAGED 32 and 10. Nobody's saying he's Superman, but I think some folks have an odd bias agianst him.
As for the complaining about him taking too many long jumpers, him taking 3's is very important for the Wiz offense. It stretched defenses - allowing better opportunities for his teammates.
+1
Lots of folks go WAY overboard with the hate on AJ although
there was one point early this game I remember them feeding
him like HE was on fire instead of 2-3 of his teammates. But
we were winning at the time. We didn't let them in the game
until all the careless TOs started happening.
In the past, there were definitely times when his softness
both defensively and offensively were frustrating. But that is
part of the package.
re tonight - TOR does not have the type of physical players
who tend to abuse our undersized PF (or tweener) Capt.
He's playing considerably better D this year than I can ever
remember him playing. He's boarding like a maniac. He's the
most consistent offensive threat we have at the moment. He
works his rear end off for the team. I REALLY hope we find
a way to hold onto him after this year.
great game by the kids/bench
N1, AB, RMj and DMac.
The last possession was nice but in retrospect, we were up 4
so it wasn't as hairy as it seemed at the time. You just didn't
want them to score, then foul and force us to make FTs (even
though we had a GREAT night at the charity stripe).
Any road win is a good win. A road win against a quality team
is a GOOD QUALITY win.
Go Wiz!
ps - it made sense that BTH didn't play much against Bargs who was
playing C for them. Now he's ready to bang Okafor and Nazr tonight.
