This better not be something serious with Landry or else I am gonna kill my self.

Is this a joke? How could you let someone like Green's talent get away? Damnit!

EDIT: I forgot to mention, Mike Harris is good. He's like a smaller Carl Landry. If he can pick up Landry's work for this game somehow, they should sign him for the rest of the season.

Fluid in the knees is pretty common, it could be just a bruised knee ... Landry should be alright. It's good that they're not taking chances and sitting him out.

BTW - sorry to all the GG fans but what did you expect

i think we should be ready for the worst.

the rockets staff usually "hide" injuries or are too stupid to notice it, so don't be surprised if a week after he doesn't come back you hear that he's been shut down.

Landry is out, but I think he will be fine, tonight just got tougher, but why did we let Green go? Man I thought he really had major potential. I like Mike Harris, but still Green? gone? he must be angry.

Hell no, Landry and his knee. I hope he's allright.

Well I've always loved Harris. This guy can shoot, he can play, dunk. I like him, really but i will miss Landry. Hope he's ok

Wow, why in the world we do this? Did we already evaluate all the potential he had? That's garbage.

The worst news is that Landry is out. I thought he'd be the key to the game tonight with Rybo starting at PF. Dammit.

Horrible thread ;)

I'm not too upset about Green, although it's vaguely surprising. It's good to see Mike Harris back finally. He's going to be a nice addition if his preseason play wasn't a fluke. The Landry thing sucks, but it's not TOO big if it ends up costing us a game. The important thing is that our win streak has cemented us back in the playoff hunt. From here on out, keeping the streak alive is naturally going to be great and helpful, but we really just need to focus on making it in (and not in a "what's the least we could do without dropping out of the picture" sort of way).

The main reason I can't figure out the green thing is because he's a tall guy that's capable of shooting and finishing on the break.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?

I don't think we are signing Mike Harris long term like tmacformvp07 said we will be getting Green back when Landry gets better. Mike Harris knows the offense more than Green at this point having gone through Summer League play with the Rox. Plus I don't think Green would want to sign anywhere else this is where he want to be, hes home. I really hope Landry is Ok, without him look for Julian Wright and Chandler to get alleys on us all night. we can never catch a break

I highly doubt Green's coming back if he's been cut. I thought we were going after Mr. Justin Williams.

I like the addition of Mike Harris, just not at the expense of Mr. Gerald Green. I didn't expect anything out of Green this season but was hoping for the slightest chance we could get something out of him this off-season (by signing him long-term and developing him). Not a fan of this move.

Guys, stop overrating Gerald Green.

He is a terrible player and was cut for that reason.

Why would we give up a 2nd round pick for someone we're going to cut?

So, we cut Bobby Jones for Justin Williams, and then cut GG for Mike Harris, am I right? Can someone clarify?

EDIT: Yeah, it says so in the article.

The coaching staff was that pessimistic about Green then.... I was happy to hear that Houston got him, but I always wondered whether Green's struggles to play within a system was the result of Doc River's inability to draw up proper plays before this year and the abomination that is Minnesota's coaching staff, or was it him and his youth that was to blame. Or maybe a combination of both. It's a shame because I did hear good things about the kid regarding his potential and work ethic (he worked on his jumper a lot and it shows in his form) mostly out of Boston.

We shouldn't miss green. He didn't even play. But Mike Harris is better but yes he probably wouldn't play either.

We need to concern about Landry's health. That's the main problem right now, hope he is OK. Come on Carl !
