Quality team win! Pleasantly surprised.
Hawes, Beno, Moore (defense and rebounding), Garcia, Salmons (initial defense on Kobe last possession) were all great
Hawes had his best game of his young NBA career, very impressive! He showed almost all of it tonight. Played a strong all-around game, and especially liked his overall defense. He was confident and a serious factor out there.
I'm okay with Reggie benching Ron, he was having an up and down game, and was in foul trouble, as well. The guys out there in his place had it going, and we rode them to the end for the win. Obviously there's a reason, and what I'd guess is the combination of those three things. Similar goes with Brad (who didn't play much at all).
Whatever it was, the win is what matters.
However, I doubt Ron will have a limited role from now on, that'd be surprising. I think this was a specific game situation.
Combination of good team defense and the Lakers seemingly not giving Kobe the ball, had Kobe shutdown in the 2nd half

EXACTLY! Garcia had already left his feet to lay the ball in and fisher is STILL sliding in under him...the pathetic thing is, it was such an EASY call to see from ANYWHERE and the ref still calls a charge? It was a blatant block, oh and that technical on Mikki was downright ridiculous as well.

While I don't disagree Fisher had been there for at least three seconds befor Garcia got there...

So I had to work tonight so I didn't get to see the game but...
This win was AWESOME because
1) It was the Lakers
2) It was in LA
3) It was our FIRST WIN AGAINST A DIVISION OPPONENT!!
4) Hawes/Beno really shined
5) Beno proved that people on this team can make clutch, 4th quarter FT's (I might forgive him for Denver now)
6) Did I say it was against the Lakers?
Good to see Theus bench Miller...if he's hurt, then play Hawes/Williams more...

[quote="SacKingZZZ"]John Salmons is about as close to a Kobe stopper as I have seen. He plays him very well. He and Cisco did a great job tonight
