Good to see the Kings win after that terrible charge call on Garcia.

Quality team win! Pleasantly surprised.

Hawes, Beno, Moore (defense and rebounding), Garcia, Salmons (initial defense on Kobe last possession) were all great

Hawes had his best game of his young NBA career, very impressive! He showed almost all of it tonight. Played a strong all-around game, and especially liked his overall defense. He was confident and a serious factor out there.

I'm okay with Reggie benching Ron, he was having an up and down game, and was in foul trouble, as well. The guys out there in his place had it going, and we rode them to the end for the win. Obviously there's a reason, and what I'd guess is the combination of those three things. Similar goes with Brad (who didn't play much at all).

Whatever it was, the win is what matters.

However, I doubt Ron will have a limited role from now on, that'd be surprising. I think this was a specific game situation.

Combination of good team defense and the Lakers seemingly not giving Kobe the ball, had Kobe shutdown in the 2nd half

EXACTLY! Garcia had already left his feet to lay the ball in and fisher is STILL sliding in under him...the pathetic thing is, it was such an EASY call to see from ANYWHERE and the ref still calls a charge? It was a blatant block, oh and that technical on Mikki was downright ridiculous as well.

While I don't disagree Fisher had been there for at least three seconds befor Garcia got there...

And, paying attention to the bench at times Ron was into the game on the bench, and on the last two plays he celebrated along with the rest of the team.

With the flashes we keep seeing from Hawes I think he could be a franchise center. What do you guys think? He was very impressive tonight, and is coming along faster than I expected.

Is Beno for real? He's been putting up great numbers. I hope we can still sign him for the MLE.

Great win!

What teams can offer Beno more than the MLE? And what teams would realistically do that?

Probably none. Unfortunately it's probably going to take at least the full MLE now. Oh well, he's worth it.

So I had to work tonight so I didn't get to see the game but...

This win was AWESOME because

1) It was the Lakers
2) It was in LA
3) It was our FIRST WIN AGAINST A DIVISION OPPONENT!!
4) Hawes/Beno really shined
5) Beno proved that people on this team can make clutch, 4th quarter FT's (I might forgive him for Denver now) :P
6) Did I say it was against the Lakers? 8)

Good to see Theus bench Miller...if he's hurt, then play Hawes/Williams more...

John Salmons is about as close to a Kobe stopper as I have seen. He plays him very well. He and Cisco did a great job tonight!

Yeah, I agree. The tandem of Garcia/Salmons on Kobe is close you can get to shutting down Kobe IMO...We limit him only 1 point in the 4th quarter! And 6 total points in the 2nd half as well... Great defensive job!

I loved seeing Theus sit Ron. Even if we didnt win I still loved the move. Ron would have cried himself to sleep but he needed something like this.

We beat the Lakers, even with our best player on the bench in the 4th. Great stuff. Who woulda thunk it?!

I glad to see my boy Hawes breakout a bit tonight. I had a class with him at the University of Washington and let me tell you, the kid is itelligent and a hard worker and even though I am a minnesota fan, I have been following him all season.

I think his ceiling would be Brad Miller + more defense and more post moves. I too was hoping minnesota would have grabbed him. Jefferson and Hawes would be a sweet combo.

I'm not sure what Hawes ceiling is but I think it is Higher than Miller.

I'm hoping for something a lot higher. He has played so well lately I want him to develop into a franchise center
