Oh yeah, what a wonderful opportunity.

Maybe Kobe should just start by himself and go 1 on 5 so we can settle the debate once and for all.

Kobe can average 50 PPG and it won't matter. We have no size in the middle, so they don't stand a chance.

We have no center on the squad outside of MBenga since Bynum and Mihm are out, so basically our reserve PF has to play center. I'm sure you can appreciate the situation if you think about it just a little.

First, Gasol's injury isn't that serious. There's a good chance he'll play on Sunday.

Second, have a little faith in your team. The Lakers went 5-5 with Kwame in the middle during a rough stretch. LOL

think about it? I guess you don't watch many cavs games. We've been living that for weeks now. Some games we go further down the bench than that to find a starting center.

That's great.

This isn't about the Cavs, this is about the Lakers battling for a playoff seed in a conference where you can't afford to be shorthanded, so don't come at me with that meaningless comparison. We don't have the luxury of playing teams nonstop that have a sub .500 record. In the coming weeks we have a brutal schedule in that we play the top teams in the West, and even the bottom seeded teams that we play are no joke (GS, which we play twice).

If the Lakers played in the East, I wouldn't be worried, but we don't. We play in a conference where losing 4 or 5 in a row could mean the lottery if you don't have your act together.

According to who? They don't even know if Pau is going to travel with the team, last I heard.

Seeing as how the Hornets and Rockets were the two teams that we had the best chance of beating, I don't see how his injury can't be considered serious in terms of the impact it has. It would be homerific at best to think we could beat Utah and Dallas at home even with Gasol, seeing as how they have a combined record of 56-7 on their home floor.

This injury pretty much **** us as far as getting the top seed goes, and it probably means we're out of the top 4 seeding.

The "middle"?

So who do you consider the "elite" in the West?

Spurs? Lakers? Hornets? Rockets? Jazz?

They're all at the top! You gotta be kidding.

One of the "middle" teams just knocked off the Celtics, the East's elite, by 18 in Boston.

That's the point right there. The Wests "middle" as you call it can beat the Easts elite.......
I'm so tired of the typical......

LeBron playing center in the crunch time against Atlanta was the best.

^^^ we will lose against golden state. No small ball team can compete with them. Only reason teams beating GS is because they lack size.

That's great.

This isn't about the Cavs, this is about the Lakers battling for a playoff seed.

I thought this was the MVP thread, not the lakers board. I guess injuries only matter when they happen to the Lakers?

Yes, it's the MVP thread, so why the hell did you compare the Cavs depth to the Lakers when you responded to me?

Don't fall for LA fans' "awww poor us" BS. LeBron's been playing with a starting C/PF of Wallace and Varejao for a while now. Probably the single worst offensive combo in league history. Not to mention the other numerous injuries at other positions for Cleveland.

^^^ Hence the reason his team is not nearly good enough for him to be considered the MVP, which is why you mental midgets can't seem to comprehend what it is that you're responding to.

There is no elite in the west. That is the point I have been making. The elite fell off, the bottom got worse, the middle got better. Is that so hard to follow?

I don't see how CP3 isn't the leader after tonight

but we still have at Detroit, Chicago, Houston, Boston, at Indiana, at Cleveland, at Boston, at Toronto, at Orlando, at Miami (don't laugh, it's b2b on the last game of a 6 game roadie) upcoming through april 2nd
