Why is what so hard to take? You're the one living in one moment. I've accepted the loss man. Good luck with life.

Thats where you either win or lose in one moment.

I too have accepted the lose, why would we worry?

We got our aces on the bench getting ready

how do you respond when a player scores 24 points and you say he was "shut down".

shane played great defense on Kobe, but he didn't shut him down. I would like to have seen this game if Kobe didn't have to do as much as he did on defense. then we would really see how good Shane can be on Kobe.

24 pts on 33 shots.

that's dominated, shut down or whatever. if you take 33 shots you will score. if you take 9 more shots than you had points...its an unwritten rule, you were shut down

 Fair enough man.

You're right, we do have our aces on the bench. Hopefully we'll get to see them back in action soon enough. You and I just have differences of ideologies. I don't think that one moment defines a game, and you are pointing out it was a crucial moment (which is valid). We just differ on how we look at things.

No problem. We both just want our Lakers to thrive.

Shane is like the younger Bruce Bowen, you know.

My prediction turns out to be correct.

11/33 shooting for Kobe. Shane gets the job done.

no that is contained not shut down.
shut means 0 points.

anyways, like I said, we'll see how good Shane is on Kobe once the Lakers are full strenght.

I dont think mac as shut down.

Yes, Bryant was guarding him, but it was more like being a facilitator on an off-shooting night.

Damn, I miss Gasol. We need Bynum back. Hopefully they'll be ready for the playoffs.

My point was exactly that. Nobody was shut down tonight, IMO. Kobe was driving to the basket a lot in the second half and not getting calls. He only went to the line 4 times (and missed 2 of them).

But the point is, is that Kobe was guarding T-Mac. Kobe is a two-way player. He doesn't have the luxury of Battier guarding the team's best player. So for T-Mac to shoot like he did tonight and get posted up by Luke Walton a few times doesn't make Kobe look so bad IMO.

Yes Kobe forced up shots some shots, but there were others where he was trying to draw the foul on a midrange or in the lane and it just didn't happen.

Opinions are like a-holes. Most of the time they stink.

Snaq's on the other hand doesn't smell too bad most of the time. I think he takes really good care of his unlike some of other posters here. ;)

Clearly the Lakers have a better chance to win the ring this year and I kinda want to see it cause I don't want to see San Antonio get to it. GL for the rest of the season.

We lost not because of LO or Kobe or any other individual person. We lost because we can't keep up our defensive intensity for more than moments at a time. 3rd quarter we were ballin. They couldn't get a shot off period. Then when 4th quarter comes around, we start to relax again. This team always thinks they can flip the switch whenever they want. This immature attitude is not going to cut it in the playoffs.

Another thing I noticed is that LO was dominating in the post and we went away from it(like always). Instead we go to pick n roll with MMMMMMBENGA!! That just isnt acceptable.
LAKER FAN FOR LIFE

RIP Kobe and Gigi
