I'm here as well.
Dinj, think back to the team that George Karl took over in August 1998.
Ray Allen - budding all-star starting his third season
Terrell Brandon - a PG who made the all-star team the TWO consecutive prior seasons before we traded for him.
Tyrone Hill - Again, a PF who made the all-star team two years before we traded for him.
Glenn Robinson--the overall #1 starting his fourth year (prime time)
Ervin Johnson -- defensive minded center who could average 10 rpg.
Robert Tractor Traylor-- Sure, he busted, but remember that when George was hired, he was the #6 overall pick in a very strong draft that we just traded up to get. Majerus thought he'd be Barkley.
Four guys of that starting five made or would make the all-star team, plus you had the hope of Traylor in his rookie year. And a defensive center in EJ who knew his role and didn't need the ball to be effective.
Do we really think any of our guys will ever make the all-star team, save maybe for Bogut going in a year or two?
Hands down that 1998 team was if not loaded, really stacked with talent that needed a coach. And GK to his credit realized that he needed to make some moves to get the right chemistry.
