Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

There aren't any other games going on tonight worth keeping an eye on.

Plus they took care of the ball and made their Fts.

Well.... after this we have a "home and home" against the Hawks. This win (the Nets) just about locks up a playoff spot for us but the Hawks are only 3.5 games behind us so we need to win at least one of these games.

Of course, I am a Kool-Aid drinker so I smell sweep.

Harris is a bitch
the sixers run down the clock to trun the ball over not to rub it in and then he goes all the way to the basket

Nice game by the Sixers. They were not at their best defensively but they picked it up in the second half and held the Nets to 40 pts. We are all waiting for the playoffs now to see how things go in that environment. That will be a first for most of the players on the team.

The Hawks games will be very difficult...hope they can take them both, but I'm a bit leery of these next two games.

The only way the Nets rise from the dead is, if we sweep Atlanta. We have pretty much crippled the Nets season.

What I like about tonight's game is, Iggy only scored 6 points after the ist quarter. Carney had 2 trays in the 4th quarter, with 1 big defensive mistake that lead to a tray. Our bench tallied 33 points, on a night we did not have to rely on Young neither.

This was clearly a take care of business game, which is not the case over the next 2 games with the Hawks. This is called war.

Don't let their recent win streak fool you... the Hawks are a bad team. They've won 4 games in a row... do you know who they were against??

at home against the Bucks
at home against the Bulls
at home against the Knicks
on the road at the Grizzlies

Which of those teams has something to play for? Which of those teams stand to gain something from losing??

I have no doubt that we win the 2nd of the two games against the Hawks and I feel pretty good about the 1st one as well.

Cheeks should get some credit for tonights win. He pushed all the right buttons in the 4th quarter. Carney came up big in the 4th plus he was able to give Daly & Iggy a rest early in the 4th so they were fresh at the end.

By the way, I think it's a bit of a joke that Doc Rivers got the Coach of the Month award over Mo in March.

I think Mo had it in the bag until the experts saw that he DNP'ed Smith vs. the Cav's the other night. :D

Agreed. It takes courage as a coach to send out such a young and inexperienced line-up down the stretch. That kind of confidence in guys like Lou, Carney and Smith will reap rewards in the future- and fortunately was rewarded by a solid closeout win.

Great to see Lou again demonstrate he's got icewater in his veins. Can't wait to see him closing out games when he is in his prime (in 4-5 years?) Man these guys are young... and clutch.

imo this was the bigget win of the season.why?not because nets are a brilliant team, but the sixers prooved that thier streak was not a lucky one and was not only becuase they playerd with heart and energy, they recovered from 2 tough L games and beat a rival while playing great basketball.

Great point ITK9! I think I agree. I think a lot of Sixer fans quietly needed that reassurance as well....meself included. We've all seen Philly teams in all sports ride a wave and then when they falter never get back up there. HUGE win

I don't think it was the BIGGEST win of the season, but it was certainly important. In the 2nd half, we got back to making them play our game. Its good to be able to carry that into the home and home against Atlanta.
