He was quicker and more .... (I hesitate) athletic than Howard.
Now I know that sounds crazy, but pre Cleveland, Seattle Reignman was just plain nasty. Howards movements while not wooden, lack the fluidity that prime Kemp had.
Having said that, Howard is a better rebounder and a stronger player at the same comparable time in their careers.

The better player at his absolute peak? Kemp.
Who would I rather have to start a team? Bosh.
For the record I don't think Kemp is as good as Amare on offense although he was definitely tougher on D and better on the glass.
I don't know, Kemp had about 3 seasons where he was absolutely unstoppable (94-96) but in retrospect he was a time-bomb from day 1 and had a pretty short period of being a truly elite player.
I don't think he showed the same increase in bball IQ as Amare or Bosh have either. If he had been able to cut down of his PFs and TOs and play for a few more minutes a night, he could have been insane.
Anyway, Bosh will never be able to score at the same efficiency Kemp had those few years because he doesn't have the build for it. On the other hand you probably don't have to worry about Bosh getting fat and/or addicted to the powder so that's probably a mark in Chris' column. If I recall correctly, Kemp was a bit of a D-Bag even when he was happy and in Seattle whereas Bosh seems to have everything you'd want out of a franchise cornerstone (except maybe another 30 lbs of muscle so he could play in the post).
