If each West team moved East

Post#1 » by Storm Surge » Sun Apr 6, 2008 4:20 am

Hornets, Spurs, LA, Utah, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, Denver Golden State would be #3 behind Boston and Detroit.

Portland and Sacramento would be #5

That's messed up.

I think the Kings and Blazers are both better than the Cavaliers.

Well in the cases of the Hornets, Spurs, Lakers, and Suns I would be happy they are in the West. In the East only the Hornets have a shot at even the #2 seed (and the Pistons have the tie breaker over them), while in the west they all have a shot at #1. You could probably throw Utah in there as well.

Dallas, Denver and Golden State would benefit, though I wouldn't dismiss Orlando who currently has a better record than all of them.

theres only 2 teams back east that can seriously be considered championship caliber.

currently, there are 6 teams with over 50 wins out west. maybe more depending on what the bottom 2 can do in the last few games. i believe dallas is at 47 and denver with 46.

east has detroit and celtics over 50 wins.

i can say this, each regular season game in the WC has been a playoff atmosphere type game. very exciting to watch. the top contenders vying for top position. and the bottom teams just trying not to get flushed out to 9th position.

I've been defending the Kings for a while.

You know as well as I know how much even you and I went back and forth (in rivalry), but IMHO, Kings are as good as the Magic.

Yeah, I was kidding. You have defended the Kings well and I give you props for that! :) But yeah, you can make a argument that Kings are good as the Magic in the East, I guess.

As long as we keep Beno for next season and somehow add a very very good PF sometime soon...then the kings can be pretty good.

I just call it like I see it. Oh, and I try to say what I think in the most controversial way to get my point across. Like the lobbying of Harris >>> Kidd (for the Mav's system) months before the trade. Sometimes I just see things that are so obvious that I can't believe others don't see it too, like a healthy Kings are as good as if not better than the Magic. Then sometimes I am just blind sighted...like predicting the Bulls will make the Finals before the season started. WTF was I thinking? I knew most of them would be playing selfish ball for contracts and I still picked them! :banghead:

Only the Celtics can make the playoffs in the West.

Sorry Magic/Pistons/Cavs.

 @ the chimp graphic.

But yeah, again you can make an arguement that the Kings are at the level of the Magic or if not better. I dont want to argue with this issue because many people are totally against this thought. But oh well. They will know the real Kings next year when healthy. :D

damn I wish the Knicks were in the West just for this season. I would kill for them to have the worst record in the league.

People are so silly. They think the Pistons and Celtics would have the same record if they were getting literally gangraped by all those high caliber teams in the West. Celtics would be right now 50-25 and not have the demented record they have.

The Celtics are 25-5 against the West.

They have performed better against the West than the East.

Celtics would be at 70 wins right now but they take nights off and get lazy because the play in the East. Unfortunately, quite a few times this season, the Celtics have played down to the level of their opponenets. If they were in the West they'd still be #1 seed and this will be proven when they are the official #1 seed in June.

+1 but it'll be 65ish, not 70.
