Lamar owns Al Harrington. If he was able to face him for 82 games, Lamar would average 20 points and 20 rebounds.

There is no need for Stephen jackson because we already have Kobe at SG.

Does this mean you're a non-laker fan? :naaa:

I cannot believe we are entertaining the Warriors fan here with this proposal.

If they want to throw in Ellis in the deal sure I will listen. Clearly if Ellis is not in the equation then no conversation whatsoever.

Go ahead and keep Davis and we will keep Bryant. So your proposed deal of Ellis and Harrington for Fillers is accepted.

Once Bynum is back, your frontcourt is going to look a little bit crowded. Stephen Jackson gives you the true "3" that can lock down the opposing teams best scorer, and hit the three ball consistently. Al Harrington would also fit in nicely in the Triangle, and give you a versatile front court man.

Odom and Ariza are two players that fit better in an up tempo free flowing offense.

Laker fans aren't stupid.

Na, Davis needs to be in this because hes from LA, and will be close to his home. We can take out Ellis and Harrington and the fillers, then it'll be great, Davis for Bryant. Bryant did demand trade last year, so why not.

Cool, Arenas, Pierce and Chandler are also from LA so if you can get Bos, Washington and NO to do a 5 way we should do this. I mean, everyone from LA needs to be here right? So we should be expecting Baron, Arenas, Pierce and Chandler, Ellis, for basically fillers and any expiring that we can rout from the other 3 teams. Good deal. You can keep Harrington and we'll keep Kobe since Kobe isn't from Nor Cal, never said he wants to go there and he wants to stay in LA. I guess we have a deal.

Let me get this straight, Lakers give up a player in Trevor who maybe is our best wing defender for a gunner(Jackson) with no defense ?

Then give away guy who is a mismatch at the 3 spot for an under sized 4 and don't possess the skills of a true 3 ?

HELL NO.

Its not always about offense. Its about winning, I'm not saying we have the perfect team because we don't but I don't want guys who are limited in skill period.

Stephen Jackson has been one of the best perimeter defenders this season, and yes, better than Ariza.

Having said that I really don't want to give the Warriors the player they need in Odom, so I'd pass.

Giving a semi-contender a solid power forward in the west is not a good idea IMO.

Jax is pretty much the PERFECT 3 for us...he can shoot well, rebound, pass and is an elite defender.

I definitely share tkb's reservations about making the Warriros better though...with odom as a running 4...baron/ellis/anyone/odom/biedrins is deadly as.

I pretty much agree. I don't understand fellow Laker fans criticizing this proposal. Isn't it clear that: a) next year Odom would play at SF for us; b) S-Jax is better SF than Odom, not to mention one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA, better than Ariza; c) Harrington would be a hell of 6th man? The only concern I could have with this transaction is the fact that it would make not only us, but also Warriors better: but IMO it wouldn't be enough to veto that considering we're better than them anyway and would remain better also after the trade.

No thank you.

It would take Stephen Jackson about ten years to get the triangle. The other Jackson would ship him out just as fast as he did Jumaine Jones.

We need brainy and cool-headed players, not hot tempered thugs.

This description isn't appropriate for Stephen at all now. And if even in his worse days he was able to start for championship Spurs under Popovich (coach more stern than Phil), I'm sure he could do the same for Jax/Lakers.
