Marcus Banks isn't a bad idea if we're talking a 10-11 pick considering how many of those players end up in the D-League or jumping around teams at the end of the bench. He may be well overpaid, but you don't have to pay a player equal to his NBA comparison. All that being said, Augustin hands down.

Augustin I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, he makes our defense even weaker.
Rest in Peace, Pacerfan

To be honest the only way I would want to draft any point guard excluding bayless or rose. I s if we are trading JO otherwise I would like to package our first rounder with Ike for an experienced pg. JO isn't going to want to wait on a pg to develop and I dont blame him. I guess it just depends on the JO situation. I mean dunleavy and granger have came into there own this season JO should be back strong next season, and Foster well he's foster. So you get a talented experienced pg to run that squad and i se playoffs in our future.

Since I don't think that Tinsley is going to be traded anytime soon.....I say neither.
I agree with old school pacer fan, both are overrated and neither is going to help us anytime soon.
Draft Westbrook ( assuming that Kevin Love isn't available, Marquis is traded before training Camp and Kareem/Flip aren't resigned ) and play him as a backup SG and see if he can develop into the type of Combo PG that we want.
At worst, he can be the perimeter Defending Guard that we want and a decent Backup SG to play behnd Dunleavy, Granger and Shawne at the SG/SF rotation. At best, he becomes a much better verison of the type of Combo Guard that Bird likes to have on the team.

Oh please. If it were down to those two, I'd take Augustin. He will be an effective pro, a solid starter. He's not much (if any) smaller than Chris Paul, and he doesnt seem to have too many issues with the pro game. There are only like four or five big point guards in the NBA that punish smaller guys, so its not that big of a deal. I also wouldnt touch Lawson with a 10 foot cattle prod. He does absolutely nothing for me. I am not a huge fan of Collison, but if this poll were say, Westbrook or Augustin, then I'd probably have to take Westbrook. I dont think theres any way Tinsley is back next year, so I think we need a point guard first and foremost...and something tells me we wont be getting one in free agency.

Out of those two i'd probably take Augustin.
However I am hoping, ok really hoping that Bayliss is available or we make a deal to move up and draft him. He would be my number one (assuming Rose and Mayo are out of the question).
I would also probably prefer Westbrook or Mario Chalmers over Collison or Augustin simply becuase they are both terrif perimiter defenders and thats something we need and I believe they can be solid hybrid type PG/SG players, kind of like Monta Ellis.

I like Augustin alot. I think he may be a great pro. I don't like Collison. Too small. When the last time UCLA developed a great PG anyways? Tyus Edney was amazing for them and what he do in the pros? He had way too much talent around him, even a regular joe could get decent stats on UCLA, he was their 3rd scoring option and had 3 good guys to pass to. No defense stuck on him.
Augustin was the man of the show for Texas though.
