He's dropped off due to age and mounting injuries, you're not even arguing my point, you're trying to pretend this is MVP Peja too diminish Paul.

You're about the biggest homer on this site, just go away.

51% of his shots are 3's now vs less than 40% in Sactown.
He's shooting 4 less shots per game.
Averaged 19.5 on 46% and 40% from three in Indy.
His efg is .553 now and he's only had two better years of .566 and 556 in Sac.
He's only played more games in a season once in his career.

He hasn't fallen off. You guys just use him like a role player instead of using him like the offensive star of the team.
Don't hate the objectivity.

You have no idea what you are talking about at all, Peja isn't the player he was athletically, he was never a superb athlete, but a back surgery that puts you out for a year, and nagging knee injuries will sap that away.

You are the only person on the planet that thinks this is the same Peja, doesn't that show you anything? Seriously, you will grasp at anything to diminish Paul at this point.

I think I have Kobe as my MVP, but I hope he loses now just so I can watch your head explode.

Why are we talking about Peja? I thought it was going to come down to records. We don't even have to use an 'arbitrary' tiebreaker anymore, isn't that sweet?

I was the only person here calling out the Cavs for their stupid offense too. Everybody said I was just a hater but go over to their forum now and you see them saying the exact same things I was saying then. Portland fans go on me about saying Blake and Jones performances weren't sustainable and now that their streak has ended they see that I was right. So no it doesn't show me anything except you guys are caught up in the media hype so much that you think Chris Paul is making Peja.

He's not making Peja now anymore than Mike Bibby made him in 2003. He's the same dude playing a completely different role.

EDIT-whatever. it's not going away for a while, until we jump it up next October. Boston still added their modern-day Bill Russell and won 66 games, and we had one of the greatest years ever by a point guard and we won 56 games.

even after MVP is given out they'll be debating for years.

but back to the debate at hand

that's an interesting debate NO-KG-AI

another one is whether peja has been worth his contract this season

his presence makes it so much easier for everyone else, and he's been so clutch this season. he plays good team defense.

but he's still making ridiculous money for being a declining third option

maybe in the near future his contract might be an albatross????? new orleans fans haven't had much experience with bad contracts

I'm not even arguing that Peja isn't a great player, and a tremendous fit, but he's not the same player he was, it's ludicrous to even suggest it.

I'll be the first to admit I was wrong, he was worth his contract this year, and I wasn't sure he would be, if we can get this out of him for the remainder, it won't sting so bad, but he's going to be making big bucks at the end of it :-?

I hope Paul wins it too. The Hornets are the most likely team to get upset in the first round anyway.

Put me on the CP for MVP bandwagon. I think we might see a Dallas "We aint losing in the 1st round again" vengeance.

I dunno, we have 2 MVP's, and a franchise PF, and a DPOY at center, I doubt we can lose at all, unless Paul drags us down.

He's still the same guy that can put up 20ppg and make the All-star game IF HE PLAYED IN A DIFFERENT OFFENSE. You guys are acting like he's some scrub that CP3 turned into a solid player.

that said, he's a perfect fit for you guys minus his defensive issues.

Don't worry, CP will elevate them to all-star levels and defeat Dallas in 4. BOOK IT.

That's nothing compared to what Kobe has at his disposal.

We have, by far the best bench in the league, and they create everything for themselves. Vujacic and Radman will likely go down as #1 and #2 in terms of greatest 3-point shooters in the history of the NBA. Lamar Odom is the most underrated PF in the history of basketball, and if not for injuries, he'd have been an All-Star every season as a Laker. He once shot 7-10 in a game and Kobe wouldn't pass it to him. Pau Gasol is considered by some to be the MVP of the Lakers, so you have to say that he is literally an MVP candidate. Bynum, while injured, still has a presence out on the court just cuz he's so badass. He gives this team their motivation.

I've mad a change of heart. I think CP deserves the MVP for his historic season and turning around a franchise lost in the shuffle.

So good luck CP in the first round against the Dallas Mavericks.
