Post#1 » by sam1 » Thu Apr 24, 2008 11:58 pm

would u do a deal that involves redd, dan gad for anderson varejeo, sasha pavlovic, and wally szerbiack. u get a huge expiring in wally(13 mil) and 2 young players with 2 more years left on there contract. would u do that. also what do u think would be a deal u would do with the cavs that lands the cavs redd.

Attention Cavs Fans! Stop making an ass out of yourself with horrible trade ideas to get Michael "Can't Pass The Ball" Redd. Your team has nothing of value to us, outside of LBJ. Give it up already!

Done deal.

Do you guys find some kind of difference in winning on average 30-35 games/year with no shot at a future or would you like to try and clear the team cancer(yes, team cancer) Max Redd and maybe have another *gasp* 25 win season and then a shot to reubild?

As much as I want him traded Redd has more value expirings and a glorified Dan Gadzuric.

To get Redd, start with Varejao and your first, send back expirings for atleast one (preferably both) of Simmons and/or Gadz.
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

Alright, a few questions, then.

1. Do you think Max should be dealt?
2. If so, give me a better, realistic deal.

I guess I would have asked for their first to be included in the deal...and if we were going for expirings I would have gone with Joe Smith over Varejao.

We are actually on the same page....I would feel better about the deal if Varejao was more than a hustler...not a great shot blocker or defender and the draft pick isn't that good......even if Wally Z's contract is expiring I can't see Hammonds or Skiles liking him.

Ahem, I believe I addressed this already. :)

As for the second question. I have no idea what a better, realistic deal would be. I do know that if we're trading Redd for just expirings then we better be sending Simmons, Gadz or Bell with him.

The guy originally proposed we send Gadz out with him. That is part of the reason I liked the deal.

I'm just not a fan of anything we get back though. I'd rather look for talent in return first and then if we can't do that do the expirings/they take on our crappy contracts.

I agree, the ideal scenario would be to get at least 2-3 teams interested and let the bidding begin......this is where we see how shrewd Hammonds is.

I would almost accept any Redd trade but this is just pathetic.

Redd for Wally's expiring and the Cavs 2008 first.

$13M expiring money and Brandon Rush or CDR for Redd, if you want to look at it that way.

No way I move Redd for any of the Cavs garbage unless their pick is coming back.

The Dallas fans are as displeased with Howard as we are with Redd.

They need to be mad at their GM for trading for Jason Kidd. What an awful move that was.
