Yeah, I can't disagree with much. I disagree that Mo was our most disappointing player, I'd have to go probably Villanueva there. Mo definitely has his weaknesses at PG, but he still scored consistently throughout the year and shot good %'s from all three spots.
What I do think goes down is we look to move Mo and CV for a legit starting small forward, someone clearly better than Simmons/Mason, then we draft someone who can defend in the backcourt, a la Westbrook. Draft an athletic, offensively challenged PF in the second round that can defend.

I'd pick Mo over Villanueva mainly because I didn't expect much from Villanueva to begin with. While I have my issues with Mo as the starting PG on this team I do believe he's a better player than Villanueva. The issues Mo had on the court weren't a surprise unfortunately but the issues he had in the locker room (which Yahoo didn't shy away from pointing out) were a major surprise to me. I never expected Mo to turn into a complete a*****e who alienated many of his teammates and caused so many problems in the locker room. Villanueva had his issues in the locker room too, but nobody had them to the extent Mo did. So that gives him the honor of being the most disappointing in my opinion. Way to go, Mo.

It is always a sign of a great team when you have more than one serious contender for the player who was biggest the disappointment - and your underwhelming lotto pick wasn't one of them.

You're gonna target someone that is challenged?
Just given ya grief. I know what you're saying...Dorsey?
The Bucks are kind of like the special Olympics. Plus I'm sure Gadz could use a buddy. They could attend Disney movies together and color in the characters in their books afterwards.

Yea you can definitely make a strong argument that Yi was deserving of this "honor" too. Watching Carl Landry make so many huge plays for the Rockets last night - including the biggest play of the game at the end - only served to reinforce what a poor rookie season Yi had and how far away from being an impact player he is.
I don't see how Landry playing well reinforces that Yi was a disappointment. Yi showed enough in the first half of the season to make me optimistic. If he hadn't showed anything or any skills all year I would have been a lot more worried.
But I don't think we should turn this into a Yi thread.

Looking at the Hawks roster, they are at $51M committed currently and they need to re-sign Josh Smith, which I'm sure they will make a priority. Given their roster makeup, I think it's pretty reasonable to say that Marvin Williams might be available.
Anyone think they would consider a Mo/CV for Marvin/Claxton deal?
They do only have one more year of Bibby and Mo kind of fits their up and down style of play.

Wow! A reporter who actually did his homework...refreshing to see every now and again.
One more thing, and I will be bringing this up way to much......when making trade predictions, everyone needs to remember that this is now Hammonds/Skiles and not Harris/whatever junior coach.....Hammonds and Skiles have a "type" of player they like...so guys with low IQ's, no defensive abilities. poor size .......more than likely won't be coming in.

Very good report.
I agree with Mo as the most dissapointing. Entering the season with the contract he had it was clear we needed him to be a strong leader at the pg spot. But with his lack of defense and inability to set the table for others it was clear he was the wrong man for the job.
The behind the scenes stuff just adds insult to injury.

I said this in another thread but I think Marvin and CV are about a wash at this stage. CV's much more gifted offensively, while Marvin is somewhat better defensively (still sub par).
And now it's over to...Moira

Good report. I think the difficulty with the 'least valuable player' was that everyone outside the main three was inconsistent. CV, Yi put in good performances irregularly, and Sessions didn't get any consistent time till the end of the season. I just feel there was very rarely 4 or even 3 good performances together, and then a couple of complimetary performances (like a couple of key 3-pointers, a couple of good stops)in a game together. But then, it's well-documented how dysfunctional this team was.

I definitley think Mo was our most dissapointing player. He didn't really improve from last year(actually he digressed) and I thought he was very selfish a lot of times this season. Villanueva was also extremly selfish, especially later in the year. All he did was jack up shots and I think his scoring averages towards the end of the year are a little bit bloated.

I think the article was pretty much spot on, obviously I disagree with Mo being the most disappointing this year. Mo was indisputably our 3rd best (I would say 2nd) best player this year and coming into the season that is what we thought he would be.
I would have thought Europa would have chosen Bobby considering he thought he was the 2nd best offensive player on the team. Instead he decided to rip Mo some more. O well.
My disappointments would be:
1)Bobby
2)Yi
3)CV
4)Redd
5)Mo
