hands, we've both been saying that having BH and AB together would work nicely.
Andray will commit much fewer fouls when he's not defending C but has Haywood in with him. Blatche with Wood in is able to block shots from the weakside. He gets rebounds easier at PF.
Most importantly, when they both play together THEY SCORE INSIDE and put pressure on the other teams bigs to foul them! No way do they get into trouble when they're not just on the receiving end of opponents aggression, but rather when they're making opponents adjust to them.
I hope EJ sees the light of what hands, myself, and others have been saying: BH and AB work nicely together when the Cavs have Ilgauskas and Varejao in together.
When Cleveland is big, so should Washington be, for the most part.
CCJ, Cleveland can go big because they have Varajeo and Smith behind Z and Wallace. Behind Haywood we have Blatche -- and that's it.
I'm all for playing them together when they've escaped the early part of the game without foul trouble, but until they've done so, it's just too risky.
I don't buy your argument about Blatche fouling less at PF -- he fouled like crazy as a rook and played mostly PF. Cleveland's still going to use his man to set ball screens, and that often gets him in to trouble.
We really miss Etan -- his 6 fouls and ability to play backup C. With him back next year, our front court is going to give teams problems, especially in a physical playoff series.
