They made him a focal point of the offense... I was watching the playoffs and wondering why every single play (successful, anyways) had to be started by Kidd...
The Suns/Mavs are an absolute mess right now... a glowing testament to all teams who want to perfect smallball... it's a fluky type of game that isn't consistent at all... the only positive is the $$$$... save money on players, people want to see this "exciting" brand of basketball... The Suns/Mavs/Warriors and any other team that just ignores their bigs should be sponsored by And1.... then I'd be perfectly fine drafting that (Please Use More Appropriate Word) haircut having Brandon Jennings.

I gotta partly agree except you overshot the mark. Smallball ain't squat,it's the tendency for smaller to = quicker-faster that makes it work----to a degree. The trouble is Nellie's blind devotion to what he's come to see as a personal trademark.
You win a war with a balance of forces. Just a good artillery unit is not enough. Nellie has left too many weapons in the closet. Being good at uptempo is a BIG plus, but if you trade off by being too soft or having no depth--you are screwed.
B Jennings haircut is pretty dreadful.....but that's the norm these days. we can't pluck him out of HS this draft anyhow. He WILL be a damn good PG. He has rare court vision with real nice handles and very good quicks.
I have not quite seen enough of B Jennings or D Rose to say "book it" but I will say I think Jennings will be the better PG eventually.
Kidd? He's a player with a great understanding of how to play PG,but just a minimal time with Dallas. He's also in the twilight of a great carreer. NEXT year-I'd expect Kidd to be more value to the Mavs-but beyond that age may slow him down.
