It would mean 35 wins -- and with this roster making the firing of Doc Rivers unavoidable -- so, in a way, it may benefit the team in the long run. Then again, after a 35 win season I doubt Pierce-Allen-Garnett would be able to play with each other again.

okay now that is truly pathetic.

you'd rather see this team win 35 games just to make sure Doc is fired???

boy, that takes the Doc Hater club to a new low...

You need to wait till Doc loses a playoff series with the new big 3 before you go off claiming he is a bad playoff coach.

Well, as you can all guess my opinion hasn't changed after Game 6 -- I'm curious if anyone else had the same revelation I did after Game 4 last night?

Even with a Game 7 blowout I have zero confidence Doc will get us out of the second round at this point. Just enough ambiguity on his resume for Ainge to keep him...

No -- not really. In a series that would have been a sweep with Phil Jackson holding the reigns, Doc Rivers has led the Celtics to a Game 7 against a dangerous team now convinced they can beat Boston.

We're not a 4-5, a 3-6, or even a 2-7 match-up. We're the 1-8 match-up. We're the best team in the playoffs versus the worst team in the playoffs. The team is beyond Piston level slacking at this point.

It's a joke.

And people who think I would rather see a 35-win season need to re-read that post again and work on their comprehension skills. I am actually of the opinion this team has enough talent to win a championship, but has possibly one of the worst playoff coaches in NBA history.

A 35-win season would mean Pierce-Garnett-Allen would find it difficult to play with each other, or believe enough in each other to win in the future.

So will a first round loss to the Hawks. Which is why the Doc Rivers debacle is making this all the more depressing.

Doc helped me come to that realization after Game 4 -- I have a feeling more people will start to pick up on that soon; especially if we get into the second round.

I still agree with myself, not sure if others have come around?

waaah.

that's loser talk.

last time i checked we had home court advantage throughout the playoffs. and last time i checked we're undefeated at home.

take your crying elsewhere, bandwagon fan.

Yep, I'll take the 10,000 posts I made this year and hop on the Cavs bandwagon.

If you want to continue to believe homecourt advantage is all we need to win a title, then fine -- sorry if I have higher standards for a championship team.

Doc isn't going anywhere if the C's win this next game. We can gripe all we want but if the C's pull it out I doubt he loses his job. I am not sure he loses his job even if they lose..to be honest.

Doc is not on the hotseat.
