Thanks for posting this, Shrink, looking forward to it. I look at these numbers and think, "hey, almost 1 in 3 chance (28%) of getting a franchise player!"

you know we'll draft the right guy (Mayo) and get all excited only to see him traded thirty minutes later to New York for the OTHER player McHale really coveted, an undersized two guard (i.e. Bayless or Gordon) who will then miss half of his second season with an injury (a la Shad & Foye.)
Jeesh, I thought you guys knew how our draft strategy worked by now.

you know we'll draft the right guy (Mayo) and get all excited only to see him traded thirty minutes later to New York for the OTHER player McHale really coveted, an undersized two guard (i.e. Bayless or Gordon) who will then miss half of his second season with an injury (a la Shad & Foye.)

You forgot the part where Mayo leads New York back to respectability and makes it to multiple all-star games after winning rookie of the year.
