Wiretap: Orlando STill Believes They're Better Than Detroit
It's OK to be confident, but at what point does this become ridiculous. The Magic just lost back to back games against a team missing its best player, starting a rookie point guard from a DII school. To make matters worse we could have have had Stuckey as our starting point guard, but we traded him for 1 year and a half of Darko. Blowing a 15 point lead to a team is not a reason to think you are OK.

So wait, in the same paragraph you are criticising Stuckey for being a rookie from a DII school, and then touting him as having been a possible starter for us?
With Nelson, Arroyo and Dooling under contract and big holes in other places why would we have selected Stuckey if we had kept that pick?
On the topic of the article, they need to put up for shut up, they didn't put up, so it's time to shut up.
JMO.

I brought up the DII thing to say that he hasn't necessarily played against top tier talent before this season. I do think that he is better than Mo, and could have been our starting 2 guard allowing Jameer to play off the ball more. The guy had no turnovers in the 2 games he started. Turnovers were our biggest problem. What makes you think he wouldn't start? Last year at the draft, we had Battie, Milicic, Howard, Ariza, Turk, Hill, Nelson, Arroyo. Our biggest hole was at shooting guard. He was the best one available at 15. That's why I think we would have picked him.

seriously you didnt back it up in the playoffs against the team w/o their best player, its really time to just be quiet
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

I can't wait for the day that teams come out and say "we should not have been playing against them, they are so much better, I couldnt believe we were even allowed on the same court as them, I mean we just suck and everyone knows it"
"I'm overpaid like a mother, I shouldn't even be allowed to play teams like this they are going to abuse the hell out of me"
"I'm a horrible point guard, especially when compared to Billups, Stuckey and Hunter, we're not going to make any kinds of adjustments, we just need to go up there and lose one more so that it will all be over"

How can Rashard say what he said. If he played well they probably would have won those games. He had the biggest mismatch on the Magic team and he played horrible the last 2 games in Detroit.
I see some denial in these quotes. The reality is 4/5 of the starting lineup is not likely to change. Its easier to say were better than say there better when you know there not much to change in the lineup.
On the flip side Chris Bosh after after being beat by the Magic said Orlando is definitely the better team. He knows that there likely to change much of there starting lineup next year. Easier to say there better when you know there going to be change.

Alright I admit it. This 4 year farce is at an end.
I am Patrick Joseph Garrity.
And btw, suckas. Rich Devos told me he wants me back. See you next St. Patrick's Day!
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.
- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

You don't make assertions like this unless you are good and ready to back them up.
Thanks for proving that not all Pistons are mean. Now win the title so that our series loss looks a little better.
Ryan Anderson = Pat Garrity 10.0

Hope we can.

We've got a quality group of guys on the Detroit board. We just get a tad annoyed when an opposing team doesn't give us due credit when defeated. The right thing to do would have been to express optimism about progress made and assert that the team will come back stronger the next year, not insist that they should have won.
Most here in these parts seem to agree.
Best of luck to ya'll in the offseason. We'll see you in the playoffs next year.

Cheers.
