Shane Battier up for grabs?
Hey guys, I'm a Magic fan/writer and I am just exploring trade options for the team. I know that Orlando would be interested in Battier's services but was wondering what it would take to pray him away from you guys, or even if he is avalaible.
Would Turkoglu and J.J Redick for Battier and Hayes work? Just trying to find out, thanks guys

Hedo is good value and I think a lot of us would do that trade.
Me personally I will not trade Battier unless we get back a defensive stopper because if Hedo starts with T-Mac who guards the other teams best player?
I would do this trade only if then we can trade Bobby+Picks and whatever for Artest.

Thanks guys, I guess battier is on the block, or at least he isnt untouchable.
Turkoglu is definitley up for grabs. It would have to be for the right price, but Orlando is wanting to move Lewis back to the 3 spot, so that means turk either plays 2 guard or moves to the bench. After being cut up by Hamilton this post season, they will be looking for an elite defender.
By the way, dont underestimate turk's defense. He isnt a very good defender (certainly no where near the level of Battier) but from someone who has watched nearly every game of his in a Magic game, I assure you that his defense is solid or at least better than most give him credit for.

B2,
Battier is really a SF,playing him at SG is playing him ot of position, and after the Grant Hill experience,I don't think the Magic want another 2 who's really a 3. For the Magic,I'd suggest going after Josh Childress w/the full MLE. He seems the kind of player who would fit right in w/SVG's system and he plays D. He'd give Magic tremendous flexability w/Hedo being 6th man.(Magic could afford him as unloading Arroyo and Garrity.) Cheaper option might be FA Quinton Ross of Clippers. Good defender,no outside shot, but active on boards.

I'd take Hedo without thinking. He is clutch, can shoot, defense isn't to bad, play making is off the chart, out of all the point guards, in play making he'd be right behind LBJ and Tmac for a guy who doesn't play the PG spot. I think he'd be a great fit.
Surprisingly, he is right behind LBJ in 4th quarter points in the league during the season.
