In fact, I think it's more likely that the "rah-rah" fans have come upon the scene in the past 6-8 years when the Patriots and Red Sox have been winning everything.
Hey man, I've been a diehard Boston fan since birth, some 30 years ago, and I was always a very positive and optimistic fan even when all the teams sucked. So for me this is awesome that they're all great now.
As for the perpetually negative ones...I don't know what their problem is.
