If you go to the Bulls board, you'd see the majority of the posters want Derrick Rose. Most of them would probably be fine if they ended up taking Beasley (although a few have threatened to stop following the team if that happens)
I think they will end up taking Rose and will then trade either Hinrich or Gordon (latter would have to be S&T since he's a RFA)

Rose is just as good of fit in Chicago than Beasley and probably more because PG is a much more valuable position and we jsut spent a #2 on a PF with good potential and a #9 on a PF/C who is also showing good potential.

This is why the Bulls won't take Beasley...it's from the DraftExpress Beasely profile and goes against everyone Paxson looks for:
From DraftExpress in the Beasley profile:
Defensively, there is absolutely no way around the fact that Beasley has looked awful so far--not really a surprise considering his reputation coming into college. Even when he tries to put in a legit effort, he looks unfocused--almost completely lost-- constantly out of position, and too often caught with his hand in the cookie jar gambling for steals. He doesn

Deng needs a decent PG to create for him
Someone like Rose is essential to having an efficient Deng
Paul & Deron have helped their teams tremendously
Good PG dont come that often
Bulls should take Rose & move Kirk to SG

#2 is in some ways and some years the best pick. Obviously it's not the best pick in years like 2003, 1997, 1992, etc., but otherwise it can be good because then the team doing the drafting doesn't have to worry about everyone talking about how stupid they were to take _____ over ______. As someone from Milwaukee, I've seen that first hand with Bogut (vs. Paul and Williams) and Big Dog (vs. Kidd and Hill).
As long as there are a few players on a similar level, #2 works well. PF & PG are big needs for the Heat, so this should work well for them either way. I was hoping for Rose because that's who Wade wants, but who knows if he would make a good GM at this point in his career.

I agree that PF is not a big need for the heat but still you cannot pass on Beasley. I do not know what is with Udonis to think that we will not draft Beasley considering we already have him. If we draft Beasley, use him as what was Walker then with us or trade haslem for a need position then use the MLE for the other need.

Haha. Yea, Cliff Levingston's bad. It's edited now.
Either way, you can't go wrong. However, since the PG is in a much better position to really impact the game, Cliff Levingston would go with Rose. It even makes more sense when you look at the rest of the Bulls roster, most of which needs someone else to create looks for them. Beasley would take the shots while everyone else basically stands around, whereas Rose has a much better chance of helping guys like Thomas, Sefolosha and Deng generate more points than they usually would.
Beasley will be a nice fit and a great addition to the Heat though. Trade Haslem for a better point guard that can take care of the ball and get it to Wade/Beasley and things are looking mighty fine with a Wade/Beasley/Marion trio.

There are two things Marion can't do: create facing the basket and score in the post. Beasley does both of these things exceptionally well. Wade and a new PG (TJ Ford?) would have three forwards that play hard, catch the ball and finish.
Ford is a 8mil/year contract who did you have in mind?
