its not a travel. he doesn't change his pivot foot. he takes two steps from his pivot foot.
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

this series aint close to being over. it was a hard fought battle. and thats the way its gonna go the rest of the series. it could turn on a dime and go the other way. the LAKERs have a win under their belt. and i would rather have that than a loss. but its a 7 game series against a very experienced team. so we need to come up with a bigger win in my estimation on friday. protecting homecourt. and apply big time pressure on them going home to san antonio.

Kobe is going to torch the spurs game 2. That high pick and roll with Gasol? That looks like bread and butter.

Kobe didn't go for his till the 2nd half and Bowen was still in foul trouble @ the end of the game? what's it going to be like when Kobe is attacking from tipoff?

I guess Spurs fan is hoping in game 2 Manu and Kobe basically cancel each other out.... Right???? At least Manu and Sasha cancelled each other out.

sasha did very well on manu..but expect manu and odom to be ON in game 2...sasha had a great game...duncan's was spectacular, and kobe was decent..parker will hit his shots when they matter the most....also expect the spurs supporting cast such as brent barry and michael finley to step up big time..turiaf will need some catching up to do...farmar will have a much better series than the jazz one, which will lead to more fresh legs for fisher

He did change his pivot foot. How the hell can he take two steps after coming to a complete stop? It was a savvy move that's almost impossible to call in real time, but a travel it was.

Spurs have to win game 2 in order for them to win this series in less than 7 games.

Lol, we haven't won until we win fourth game. It's good we won today but we still have long way to go and no way we beat Spurs in 5 games.

Foul by Gasol on Ginobli on a loose ball-no call. Odom barrels over Ginobli as Ginobli was about to get a loose ball--no call. Spare me the great win by the Lakers. And, no I am not a Spurs fan.

Not to mention the shoulder lead charge when Kobe took baseline, he lowers that shoulder since bowen cut off the baseline and if there was contact it was not only minimal but lead by Kobe shoulder and it was a foul on Bowen? It was disgusting how the officials had purple and yellow whistles. I am no spurs fan either but this game was gift wrapped down the stretch. While it's true the Spurs choked away the lead, that doesn't justify the blatantly poor and lopsided officiating in the last 2 minutes

The key for the spurs is pretty much what Smith said, you have to concentrate how on how you got the lead and the positives you did in the first half/half of 3rd quarter so you take those positives into game 2. (wich were parkers penetration at will, and maintaining the tempo of the game)

On the lakers side, they should say to themselves, we sucked so bad in the first half, fisher and odom were mia for the most part, but we comeback in the 2nd half and made key plays to win the game with those guys having off nights. Also, another key, farmar looks to be back in the groove of things and him and sasha off the bench is a great spark. Can Radman keep up the great shooting and still make manu work on the other end?

Duncan was just incredible yesterday with a great all around game, the lakers could not stop him 1 on 1, but they minimized the other guys like finley.

Ginoibili had a crappy game but the spurs were right there obviously, he said it didnt have to do with his finger, more about his ankle but didnt want to go into it.

Also, it was a spurs tempo throughout the game and the lakers only scored in the 80s which the spurs wanted, but that drought killed them (have any of you find out the problem?)

I think the 'psychological hit' about losing game 1 in which you had a lead is overblown. People said the same about about 04 pistons losing game 2 of the finals. These guys are an experienced team, and the lakers gotta continue the pressure, and wear them down.

The key for the spurs will be to regroup and realize it only counts as 1 game in a series and move on, and they will most likely come back focused and ready to go, but like popovich said 'it hurt like he double hockey sticks'

For the lakers, its pretty simple, we can up rusty and not sharp, and we were still able to win the 2nd half, which is great confidence to have moving forward.

this is going to be a great series

I said I could see the Nuggets winning in 7 because of the tandem they had. For the Utah series, I said the Lakers would win in 7.

Just out of curiosity, I have a question for the "ref people".

How many games this postseason would you say the Lakers have won because they were the better team? 1 of 9? 2 of 9? None?

Thanks.
