First my point was solely that the same guy who thought we'd win it all after game is writing us off after game 2.

Second, Boston gets a bad rap...sure, it USED to have racism problems but it's no worse than any other major city and better than most.

Thanks man. I mean, no matter how much I hate certain players, I never wish personal harm to them. But Pierce has been insulted this way in New Jersey in 2002 during the playoffs and then in Cleveland this past series. Appalling. Someone should stab that guy who made the comments to see how funny he thinks it really is.

Ill stop and go back to my board, but my point is that not every fan is so classless as to hope Paul Pierce would have been stabbed to death. That is an extremely violent way to be murdered and you shouldnt hope someone would have to go through that just because he plays against your team. This is coming from a Detroit fan. At no point did I respond to Pierce's 24 points w/ "I wish you would have died in that stabbing incident a few years back."

Good luck w/ the series and bring the title back east if we cant.

I don't think you are qualified to speak on racism or whether or not it is any worse. How much time have you spent BEING a person of color in Bean Town or any other city?

If Detroit wins game 3 are you going to scour the net and ream every writer who does not drink the Celtic koolaide? I love Boston cause I grew up here, and it's home. Objectively, the climate sucks, the traffic sucks, it's old, poorly laid out, expensive, and is fairly boring.

It does have great history, unique charm, and some awesome qualities, including some of the most learned people and medical professionals in the entire world. It is liberal, educated, and pretty forward thinking. This racism crap really does confuse me. I lived in San Diego for 5 years; it was beautiful, new, exciting, fun... but guess what, it was far more racist than Boston, with huge east county skin head populations, the border warriors, and serious racial tensions in regards immigration. I noticed those tensions far more than this mythical Boston is racist thing.

I have never been to Detroit. All I know is it's cold, and has a lot of crime. That, and I don't like their basketball PA guy, he is annoying.

I havent been there personally but my brother is a doctor and a Gulf War vet and he told me that he was personally threatened and verbally abused for walking down the street in Boston w/ his fiancee (he is Asian and she is Irish).

I am blessed and pleased to have been a part of 5 generations of people who have called Detroit home. Yes, my little sig is more than just a little bit ironic.

The first member of my family who called Detroit home came here from Florida against his father's wishes. He heard that Henry Ford was hiring black people and would pay them $5 a day to work in a factory.

He was smart enough to get a job here and go back and get his parents and sister. There were no opportunities to live in Florida, they only existed. The stories that they passed down to each family member of things they overcame inspired me to appreciate Detroit and my family gene pool.

I have lived in the Boston area due to a job situation in the past and I visited some friends I met while working there a few years ago. I will be having them visit me in the future.

One of my best friends was born and raised in and around Detroit and absolutely will never go back there again. Some of the stories he has told me make your blood curdle and your hair stand on end. I know other people from Dearborn and the surrounding area who say the same thing...SCARY and ****!
