He's saying the C's are done.
Yet 2 days ago:
http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/8160 ... to-prevail
He talks about how the C's will win it. What a **** ****...he's a frontrunner like a lot of the people on this board.
And in today's articles, check out some of the "classy" comments by Pistons fans...I liked this one about why Pierce wasn't killed by the stabbing, posted by "lilbo":
"you asked for this. The reason he were not affected by getting stabbed so many times was because of all that fat-LOL"
And Detroit wonders why the entire rest of the country (and most people who are originally from there) think it's a stinking **** of a city?

Noone is denying that Detroit is a $hithole, but isnt Boston the most racist city north of the Mason Dixon? Also doesnt your city smell like beans and farts?
First my point was solely that the same guy who thought we'd win it all after game is writing us off after game 2.
Second, Boston gets a bad rap...sure, it USED to have racism problems but it's no worse than any other major city and better than most.
At least it's never been nicknamed "Murdertown USA" for something like 20 years straight, like Detroit.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Thanks man. I mean, no matter how much I hate certain players, I never wish personal harm to them. But Pierce has been insulted this way in New Jersey in 2002 during the playoffs and then in Cleveland this past series. Appalling. Someone should stab that guy who made the comments to see how funny he thinks it really is.

Ill stop and go back to my board, but my point is that not every fan is so classless as to hope Paul Pierce would have been stabbed to death. That is an extremely violent way to be murdered and you shouldnt hope someone would have to go through that just because he plays against your team. This is coming from a Detroit fan. At no point did I respond to Pierce's 24 points w/ "I wish you would have died in that stabbing incident a few years back."
Good luck w/ the series and bring the title back east if we cant.

I wonder why fans of other teams love to talk about the City of Detroit when the Detroit basketball team wins a GAME.
I don't think you are qualified to speak on racism or whether or not it is any worse. How much time have you spent BEING a person of color in Bean Town or any other city?
If Detroit wins game 3 are you going to scour the net and ream every writer who does not drink the Celtic koolaide? I am not going to ask if you are going to continue to do the 'my city is better than your city' thing because IMO you have a huge following on this forum and I'm glad that Detroit Basketball will continue to make you a star during the next week or so.

"Detroit: Where only the strong survive cause the weak are eaten alive!"
Your little sig there is kind of ironic...
I love Boston cause I grew up here, and it's home. Objectively, the climate sucks, the traffic sucks, it's old, poorly laid out, expensive, and is fairly boring.
It does have great history, unique charm, and some awesome qualities, including some of the most learned people and medical professionals in the entire world. It is liberal, educated, and pretty forward thinking. This racism crap really does confuse me. I lived in San Diego for 5 years; it was beautiful, new, exciting, fun... but guess what, it was far more racist than Boston, with huge east county skin head populations, the border warriors, and serious racial tensions in regards immigration. I noticed those tensions far more than this mythical Boston is racist thing.
I have never been to Detroit. All I know is it's cold, and has a lot of crime. That, and I don't like their basketball PA guy, he is annoying.

Boston sounds like its changed a lot, but read the entry on Bill Russell on Wikipedia.
"Even after he became a superstar on the Boston Celtics, Russell was the victim of racial abuse. Once, he refused to play a game in Lexington, KY when he and his black teammates were refused service at a local restaurant in 1962.[36] Matters in Boston were made worse by a hostile press failing to acknowledge Russell's torment, instead citing Russell's perceived "bad attitude" as the problem.[46] "I didn't play for Boston," he once said, "I played for the Celtics."[46] While the Celtics founded the most successful sports dynasty of all time, bringing in 11 NBA championships in 13 years, the Boston Garden was snubbed by the local sports fans. During Russell's career, the crowd averaged a mere 8,406 fans, thousands short of a sellout. By contrast, the Celtics teams of the 1980s led by white legend Larry Bird sold out the 14,890-seat Garden for 662 straight games.[46] The worst case of bigotry was recalled by Russell's white Celtics teammate Tom Heinsohn. He recalled the instance when Russell tried to move from his home in the Boston suburb of Reading to a new home across town in 1968. To block the move, some of Russell's would-be neighbors attempted to purchase the home themselves.[46] Vandals broke into Russell's home and defecated on his bed. This event led him to call the city of Boston a "flea market of racism".[47] Heinsohn also added that two white sportswriters from Boston told him they would not vote Russell the league's Most Valuable Player because he was black."
I havent been there personally but my brother is a doctor and a Gulf War vet and he told me that he was personally threatened and verbally abused for walking down the street in Boston w/ his fiancee (he is Asian and she is Irish).

I am blessed and pleased to have been a part of 5 generations of people who have called Detroit home. Yes, my little sig is more than just a little bit ironic.
The first member of my family who called Detroit home came here from Florida against his father's wishes. He heard that Henry Ford was hiring black people and would pay them $5 a day to work in a factory.

He was smart enough to get a job here and go back and get his parents and sister. There were no opportunities to live in Florida, they only existed. The stories that they passed down to each family member of things they overcame inspired me to appreciate Detroit and my family gene pool.
I have lived in the Boston area due to a job situation in the past and I visited some friends I met while working there a few years ago. I will be having them visit me in the future.

One of my best friends was born and raised in and around Detroit and absolutely will never go back there again. Some of the stories he has told me make your blood curdle and your hair stand on end. I know other people from Dearborn and the surrounding area who say the same thing...SCARY and ****!
That being said, I will *never* *ever* go there. To quote Dirty Water "Oh Boston you're my home!"
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Yeah I remeber it because it caught my attention too.
My uncle lives up there as a pastor, but I've always noticed how seperated the houses are. They practically live a half mile away from the closest neighboors in a lot of place. And yet they everyone seems to know everyone. So I always half joked the community is really just a cult that meets in the woods... woops.

Huh? What happened to this thread? Back to the original post... This writer is shameless. I can't wait to see what he writes after the Celts win one in Detroit. In case he hops back on the wagon here's his email address: GoodmanonFOX@aol.com - time to let him know what's up.
