Lebron + Cavs 8/10
Cavs 3/10

Crazy how one player can make a team go up 5/10 on my awesome ranking scale

Derrick Fisher's defense this playoffs is making the Lakers defense look better than it has all season long.

Built for the regular season means they're a team that scores a lot and doesn't play defense(Phoenix, Denver, really most of the west outside LA and SA), whereas built for the playoffs is teams that play great, physical defense(since fouls aren't as ticky-tack in the playoffs), such as DET, BOS, CLE, SA and LA

IMO a team built for the playoffs has to play both great physical defense AND have a great offense as well. You can't have one, but not the other. I'm not trying to be a hater but a team like the Cavs shouldn't be included in the group. Their offense consists of giving the ball to Lebron while the other 4 guys stand around and watch.... that's not exactly what I would call " built for the playoffs."

Built for the playoffs is great rebounding and great defense. The Cavs are the best team in these playoffs in those 2 areas. You can win the Championship with streaky offense if you have great rebounding and great defense. The Bulls main reason for winning their 2nd 3peat was offensive rebounding and overall toughness, and they won a lot of games with very poor shooting in the playoffs. Whereas the 1st 3-peat was more up-tempo and less grind-it-out, relied far less on offensive rebounding and had more shoot-out type games. Not saying the Cavs are playing like the 2nd 3-peat Bulls, but their rebound and defense was on that level. Their offense obviously wasn't, but we saw them reach the NBA Finals without a great offense albeit with Gibson on-fire.

If all you need was rebounding and defense to win a championship than Houston would have won it last year and this year if they had Yao. Ironically though it was their inability to grab key defensive rebounds at the end of games that cost them these last 2 years.

This is the usual fanboy stuff after there team has been knocked out of the playoffs. Its like the Magic think there better than the Pistons. Therefore if the Pistons beat the Celtics and win the championship I guess that would make them at worse the second best team if not the true champs.

The Cavs were better than expected, imho. If they could deal Wally for Redd and keep Joe Smith and Delonte West, they will have a really good team next year.

But nooo, being blown out in a game 7 is just like losing in 6 games!

I was surprised they got out of the first rd.

And after those first two games in Boston I was worried they were going to get swept but atleast they made it a series.

to the OP...you are clueless...

You ALMOST beat the celtics, so that makes you the 2nd best team?

Get a clue idiot...Maybe if the Cavs "were built for the regular season" Then they wouldmnt have been playing Boston in the EC semis? hmmm...Regular season means nothing tho right? ;)
