a basketball related argument would have worked better if you ask me, but like i said - i'm not expecting many of those in support of odom at small forward on a half court team...

hope is so much easier...

i'm supporting odom at sf until it appears that it just won't work, until then i think we should keep him
i don't see any point in getting rid of a just because it might not work out

this is payday for lamar. this year is the time to find out if what weve invested in him will pay off. weve had him here for a few years under jax and his system. he knows the offensive system. he can operate in this system. and hes gettin the big change. we usually were of the thought, well, maybe next year lamar will get better. or, when he comes back from injury, he will improve. or, his mental lapses are only lasting for a short period of time, rather than those LOOONGGG stretches of cluelessness.

well right now is PAYDAY!

there is only 1 goal in mind. CHAMPIONSHIP! and as seen in game 3, his impact can have a positive or negative effect. a few more of those and we aint gonna get there. his game is VITALLY important to the success of this team. the other team will bring their best against our best. they will also bring strong inside presence to get pau. which leaves lamar to pick up the slack.

HOWEVER . . . should he produce NOW and we get the title hung up in the gym . . . well i wont say it yet, lets wait to see what happens.

There are several plans that needs to be executed.

1. Resign Ronny, Sasha, Newble and Mbenga.

2. Get rid of Vlad and Luke

3. Wait to see improvement from Farmar and Lamar's jumpshot, if farmar shows no progress mentally then trade him. If lamar stuggles with Bynum in starting and hasn't worked on his game then trade him.

4. Extend Bynum and Ariza.

5. Try to pick up draft picks and sign someone with MLE

Possible trades:

1. LO + Farmar for Josh Howard+Jason Terry+ (filler or pick)
2. Denver
3. LO for Shane Battier + Scola + filler
4. LO for Richard Jefferson + filler + pick
5. LO for Mike Dunleavy + Danny Granger + pick
6. LO + farmar for AK47 or Boozer + pick
7. LO for Josh Smith sign and trade + filler or pick
8. LO + farmar for Jwallace +filler + (okafor or filler)

i d rather see gasol leave, than Odom. If you see it only spot-wise, Bynum is our Center, Odom is more versatile end of story. And nobody would be sad to trade gasol for an all-star PG, with less contract, maybe only Spanish Fans???

As a big VC fan, but not much of a NJ fan :) I'm praying for a VC for LO trade...
does any lakers fan like this idea?
I know Vince demands the ball, which might cause chemistry issues, but I think P-Jax could manage it.

Bynum-Gasol-VC-Kobe-Fish...

Anyway, why do you guys want an allstar PG? Fish is the perfect PG for Kobe. Kobe's pointguard doesn't need to be able to create or pass.. He only needs to defend and shoot. Fisher is the best for that combination.
You guys could even use Sasha at the point, since he can handle it well enough to bring the ball upcourt, and 6'7" is the ideal height for a triangle pointguard :) Farmar ain't half bad either.
If you trade Odom, you need a wing player for him IMO. Kapono is not gonna cut it. He is not even an upgrade over Radman IMHO.

If we brought Odom or Bynum off the bench, it would work. Don't trade Odom.

4 wins away from the Finals, and this off-season stuff?
