How would this look
From trade board
How about something like this:
Bucks Get: Bibby/Future Minn First (Top 10 Protected until 2012)
Bucks Give: Mo Williams/Gadzuric/#8
Clippers Get: JJ/Gadzuric
Clippers Give: Kaman/Mobley/Knight/Future Minn First
Hawks Get: Kaman/Mobley/Mo Williams/Knight/#8
Hawks Give: JJ/Bibby
Mo / Law / Knight
Chil / Mobley / Rio
Smoove / Marvin / Richardson
Horford / Andersen / Jones
Kaman / Zaza
Plus the #8; BPA.

Looking for a C, this gets it done. We lose our best player (for now, Smoove is looking real good) and Bibby is an asset, but I think that team plus a mid lottery is looking really good for a long time.
We go physical BIG or SG with the #8 and this team is two deep at every position. Look at the second team.
I just don't see a weekness on this team. I'd miss JJ, but I think winning would help me get over it.

Well put.

Mo Williams is a shoot first PG, Mobley has almost nothing left in the tank. I like Chris Kaman, but he's not been a consistent winner with a more experienced cast around him so I have my doubts of him as a cornerstone. The #8 pick could be good if someone drops, or could be among the highest priced of a set of players with even talent from #6-#20.
I don't understand the desire to send Joe Johnson to the Clippers, but I've seen it in various forms all over the board. As much as Josh Smith showed us a sample of what he could become in the playoff series, so did Joe. I'm interested in seeing if Joe can be the Joe of Game 4 more often. It'd be a big risk to trade him out before seeing if being the man at playoff time has showed him what he has to do to get to another level.
Trading Bibby I understand if we can get the right deal because his contract is expiring, I'm not in favor of a long term extension, and if it expires we get nothing out of him but cap relief. But I still require the right deal not just any deal. Gutting our backcourt and main scoring punch to get a traditional C doesn't make sense to me.
