SUNS HIRE PORTER
I just got a text message from KTAR that says that Stephen A. Smith is reporting that Terry Porter has accepted the Suns offer for the coaching position.

The East Valley tribune is reporting it also.

Sources tell the Tribune that while the final details of a contract have not been completed, Porter could be introduced as the replacement to Mike Dgold_leader64 wrote:Come back to me at the end of the season when the kings are in the lottery again and tell me it's not a big deal.

No I think Curry is going to take over the Pistons.
Porter is a solid hire. He is probably the expected hire and the safest hire. Now I want to see the coaching staff that they assemble. Porter had some holes when he coached the Bucks, we have to see if he gets a staff that helps with those problems and if he has improved as a coach.

If it's true then Imma wait till I see him actually perform efficiently before suckin up on him, I've got an official hardoff when it comes to ex-Spurs players joining the Suns staff (thanks to Stevie Kerr).
Not surprised he winded up with us (if it's true), since he knows Kerr pretty well (SanAN Spurs starting and bakup PGs in the late 90s IIRC)
