Resign Azu&Barnes for cheap, find some LLE PG (Boykins, Johnson) and roll with a bench of Azu, Barnes, [LLE PG], Belli, Wright, Kosta, Maxiell, [2nd rounder], CJ or some other D-Leaguer.
EDIT to clarify: I'm well aware that Detroit would never do this trade. How could they use Baron and Billups at the same time... I'm just throwing things around that make me happy. And if we swap Hamilton for Billups, it might even work. Monta would stay at the 2 (which sucks) and we'd have to take the 4 years of Billups contract (which also sucks), but it might be worth it.
If you want to do something similar that sort-of makes sense for Detroit -
GS trades Baron + Al + Belinelli for Hamilton + Wallace
LAC trades Maggette + Mobley + #7 for Baron + Belinelli
NYK trades Curry for Al
Det trades Hamilton + Wallace for Maggette + Mobley + Curry + #7
The LAC part has already been talked about a lot, and I'm sure the D'Antoni Knicks trade Curry for Harrington. This gives Detroit a starting center (letting Maxiel and Johnson play more PF) and a replacement sg. They also get a high draft pick to add a new young player.
Of course Detroit has to like Curry at least a little to make the deal, which probably kills it.
