if there's an investigation and the allegations are true(which they most likely are, but let's wait until it's official), how could the NBA not strip LA of the title? it would be impossible..every Kings fans would ask for it, so would their owners and their management..I'm pretty sure the rest of the NBA would too..if Stern was going to keep his job, he would have to do it to save face..and whoever the new commish was, he'd probably do it to send a message..
if the NBA hands you a title, you can't keep it..an * is the same thing as stripping the title..
of course you can't give Sacto the title, that would be unfair to the Nets..so this would be impossible..the only logical scenario would be for the NBA to determine that there was NO NBA champion in 2002 due to cheating..which isn't even fair to the Kings, but at least it's punishment for the cheating..
it's sad that Shaq, Kobe and the rest of the Lakers should be punished, but if it's true, there's no way they deserve to have the title in 2002..it would have to be stripped, it's the only way the NBA can lay the law down and regain some credibility..
