When you combine that with the fact that the Lakers don't really have many players besides Odom and Gasol who can create their own shots and the fact that Odom and Gasol aren't very consistent and it just shows how good of a player Kobe Bryant really is.
It also shows me though, what the Heat need to work on to become champions. Wade cannot be expected to win a championship being the top defender, playmaker, and scorer. Which is why i'm glad we're either getting Beasley or Rose and that we have Marion. Beasley could deliver that big man presence and Rose could deliver that top playmaker presence, while Marion will deliver that top defender presence, and Wade will be able to focus on what he does best, being that dominant scorer. Yes he's a good playmaker and yes he should put more of an emphasis on defense, but his scoring is what will win us championships. Just like Kobe's scoring is what will win the Lakers the championship, not his playmaking.
I totally disagree.
The Lakers looked their best tonight when they moved the ball and ran their offense, which was in the first half when Bryant was 0-4. In the 4th quarter, they totally went away from that and they didn't get the same quality shots.
Lamar had 13 1st quarter points on 5-5 shooting. He got 6 shots the rest of the game. That makes no sense.
They haven't gone into Gasol like they did when he got to L.A.
The amazing thing is, despite all this, if Kobe had had a normal 4th quarter shooting-wise, the Lakers probably win.
