Never would have thought that Sasha Vujacic would have a 19 page thread on the general board.

Thing is, the Celtics were definitely getting away with some illegal screens - KG was just throwing his body around on some of them (he toned it down in Game 4 and especially in Game 5 due to foul trouble). But on the flip side, Derek Fisher defends off the ball like an NFL cornerback in bump and run coverage. He gets called maybe once a game, but could get called on just about any possession. Often, he's putting two hands on the cutter to shove him off his route.

The headline does not match the story. Vujacic never said anything about the C's being too rough, just htat they get away with fouls. RGM needs to put a better headline up for this, as it is purposely misleading the reader to create a story that is not there. That is very irresponsible.

I urge people to click on the link instead of assuming the title is what it is...

I think that the point Sasha is making is valid. The refs are letting the celtics get away with a brand of basketball that is overly physical. Just watch PJ brown for a while and you can see why the lakers are complaining. The guy is on top of them reaching over the back setting picks by stepping into people. If the refs would just keep the Celtic defense Honest it wouldn't be an issue.

What a punk.

I don't necessarily agree with all "the past is better than now!" arguments, but this post right there is an argument for that point.

I have to give Vujacic some credit. He shot a spectacular 3-4 yesterday (75 percent!), and he even managed to show off his defensive skee-ills by staying within 10 feet of Ray Allen on one of his second half three-pointers. Anyone can stay with his man, but it takes the ingenious defense of the Machine to try to do a lap around the other eight players on the floor before catching up with Ray in the corner. That was surpassed only by his patented "fall down on the floor and cross your fingers" defensive technique.

It's too bad for the Lakers that Kobe already has a max contract, because it may be tough for the Lakers to keep Vujacic once other teams start the bidding!

There's always a role player on some team that takes a beating. I like this guy. Reminds me of a comedy relief antagonist in a movie that keeps getting beat down for the amusement of the viewers.

The refs can't officiate a game into a 40-point deficit
