In that case , why the hell did Juventus buy Amauri for 22 mln ? Trezeguet is worth atleast 25 mln , if Barca offers a bid near 30 mln i'm sure Trezegoal will go to Spain .

No news about Xabi becomming a bianconero .

Well, 20 mill for a 30 year old isn't all that bad. Amauri is much younger, so it's natural that he costs more. I just hope we stay smart and try to fill our holes at the midfield and defense before we throw 40 mill at David Villa (obviously wouldn't mind him coming over, but not at the expense of improving other parts of the team that need improvement more).

Xabi Alonso to Juve is done from what I've read.

Actually Amauri is 28 , not that younger than Trez and ... well we know who is better .
Don't forget Giovinco i really hope he turns out to be the next BIG thing for Juve and Italy .

I don't see Juventus buyng a defender before selling one /Legro ? /

Stankovic agrees terms with juve....
http://www.goal.com/en-US/Articolo.aspx ... oId=742432
uventus have agreed a deal with the player according to the very latest reports from Italy.

The midfielder will earn €3.5m per season plus bonuses and now it’s up to the Bianconeri to go to Inter and try to convince them by offering a fee for the player.

He's good but I don't think he is someone they need

Also read they inquired about Ratkic.

Dropped the ball on Amauri. Thought he was like 25 for some reason. I don't want to see Trezeguet go unless we get a special player back using the funds we get from him. The last I read was Huntelaar.

Stankovic to Juventus - terrible news . First , the guy is interista , he hates Juventus .Second , 3.5 mln Euro per year for a bench player and we still have Tiago .
Secco must make smarter decisions .

i like huntelaar. and if all those rumors are being held on forwards i think there's a big chance trezegol would leave...

Trezeguet For Sale For €25m

According to Tuttosport, Juventus will sell David Trezeguet to Barcelona if they receive an offer of €25m.

Trezeguet has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona over the past few weeks or so, and the Frenchman is currently second choice behind Emmanuel Adebayor in the list of strikers that Josep Guardiola wants for next season.

Tuttosport says that Juventus will sell Trezeguet providing they receive an offer of €25m, and they have already started planning what they will do with this money.

The first investment idea is Ajax hitman Klaas Jan Huntelaar, who is considered as a similar mould of striker to Trezeguet, and is actually available for exactly €25m.

The second idea is to spend €15m on Udinese forward Fabio Quagliarella, before using the remaining €10m on Lyon full back Fabio Grosso.

Selling Trez , buying Stankociv... how can you not "love" Secco .

It's not Secco, it's the front office's track record, they've always tried to cash in since the days of Baggio, Vialli etc. They always sell players in their prime to get $$$$. Or is it €€€€? :)

Stankovic is a talented player but he looked horrible this year for Inter and is a bit of a nutcase, plus that contract's pricey for someone who's not that young. Like Mamba said, priority should be defense since we got nobody except Legro and Chiellini who aren't exactly world-class.

Now Alonso Wants Liverpool Stay

Juventus' intensive efforts to prise Xabi Alonso away from Liverpool look to have been in vein as the highly regarded Spanish midfielder has now revealed that he wants to stay at Anfield.

The Bianconeri were expected to unveil the signing of Alonso as early as last Monday, but Juve cheif Giovanni Cobolli Gigli's admission that the deal has stalled has now been compounded by the latest statement of the Spaniard they so covet.

"My plans are to start next season with Liverpool," Alonso was quoted as saying in The Mirror.

"I signed a contract last summer and I have four more years to go, unless there is a change. We'll see what happens."

Alonso, who is currently preparing for his country's mouthwatering quarterfinal clash with Italy, then turned his attention to the challenge at hand by saying: "We know it will be hard but we are ready."

it's just me and my conspiracy theories...

I'm not 100 % sure , but when Trez scored that Golden goal he was already a Juventus player.

Trezeguet was bought before the KO stages for sure. Pretty sure Juve bought him just before the tournament started (if not, it was during group stage).

Ibrah scored against Italy which contributed to them being knocked out of the last Euro, and then he went to Juve. I'm sure he will be forgiven by most Juve fans if he were to score against Italy, but if that's what he's worried about he should just let Italy win :)

Since Aquilani isn't moving from Roma, I really wanted Alonso

Juventus Chase Podolski

German striker Lukas Podolski has revealed he may be on the verge of leaving Bayern Munich and signing for Juventus.

Speaking to the Gazzetta dello Sport the Bayern Munich man confirmed the Serie A club’s interest. He said: “I’ve been told Juve are interested in me.”

Podolski went on to say that although he hasn’t spoken directly to the club just yet, a transfer is a distinct possibility. He said: “Although I haven’t personally spoken to anybody from the club, let us just say some information has come through to me.”

The German striker has just endured a disappointing season at Bayern Munich, despite the team winning the league title.
Following the arrival of Luca Toni, who ended the season as the top scorer in the Bundesliga, Podolski has found his chances at Munich limited sparking rumours he may leave the club in the summer.
Podolski is currently at Euro 2008 preparing for Germany’s semi final clash with Turkey, and admitted that for the moment he was focussing on playing for his country. He said: “I have not had contact with any other club, not even with Bayern, during Euro 2008. I am just here to win the trophy.”
The striker did, however, admit that he was enjoying being with the national side and playing regularly after spending most of last season on the bench. He said: “Recently I had been playing a little more and trained very hard to be ready for this tournament. There is more faith in me within the national side.”

Podolski has been playing a slightly different position for the national side than for Bayern, an approach that seems to have paid off so far as the striker has hit three goals in the competition.

Speaking about his new role he said: “I have become a left winger nowadays rather than a striker. It seems to work, but I am not going to turn into a defender.”

Podolski has been impressive in the tournament, but can we please go after some defenders/midfielder instead of strikers soon?
