I accept Heat/Pacers trade. I solidify my backcourt with Delonte West backing up the 1 and 2. With Darko, it's a risk but he automatically becomes my best big man... which is a worrying sign.

duncanfan, since Artest did not opt out of his deal, dont you get back your 2010-2012 2nd rounders? Lets not use anything past 2012 for the moment, you could just remove the Jazz from the trade altogether i think.

I have a question, if a team waives a player, does his salary count towards luxury tax? I know it counts in the team salary but I want to know if it counts when calculating luxury tax?

yes of course it does count against the tax, or else, it'd be too good of an incentive to waive a player instead of trading him
