Chiefs Shopping Larry Johnson?
I just saw this on PTI, supposedly LJ wants a contract in the range of 60+ million and the Chiefs feel they can find a replacement in the draft for much cheaper.
Wilbon also said that the Chiefs are in negotiations with 4 teams and he believes himself that LJ will get traded.
All I gotta say is wow, LJ is the 2nd best RB in the league after LT and the Chiefs should keep him in KC no matter how much he's asking, I don't understand why they would place him on the trade block.

I hate when people claim someone as the "best" or second best RB. I think unless all things are equal you can't judge that so easily.
On topic, Chiefs are stupid.

Whoever signs him will be hugely dissapointed. He's due for a "Eddie George in 2001", "Ricky Williams and Jamal Lewis in 2004" like breakdown...
Nobody escapes the curse of 400+ carries
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

We're talking about this on the Packers board, as the Packers are one of the teams involved. The following is a quote from an Adam Schefter article on NFL.Com:
EDIT: Sorry, here's the link: http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/10147306
The Chiefs have spoken with the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Tennessee Titans, Buffalo Bills and possibly others, but have not found anything close to a taker.

A curse worse than Madden's.
