Re: Community Thread VII
ok.
Anyways there are other easy to make stuff in the market as well. Where you could essentially get the whole circuitry divided into blocks and then just put them together, tune the frequencies and you're all set.

Was your Camry a hybrid, Iceburg? J/k.
Thanks for the props on my last post, I was just rambling, glad some people understood what I was trying to say.
You're right Hermes, it's nice weather. After being in the 90s all week, all month seemingly, it finally dropped to the 80s here.
Too bad I was indoors with this:

That left ankle blew up like a mofo.

Basketball related?

Re: Community Thread VII
Yeah, I play at a church...in New Jersey, the only places you can play ball are at churches or jewish community centers. It's not like L.A. where you have plenty of courts.
But the court is kinda small, and there are no out of bounds, we play wall, which is only a couple feet from the rim. The wall also has a baseboard trim because the court also doubles as a theater/cafeteria.
Well anyways, on one play, I cross over to my left and drive hard for the layup. Since I usually drive right, I get him good. As I lay it up (and in), he tried to recover, too late, and instead checks me with his body. My balance is knocked off, and as I'm falling, my foot catches the trim, does the nasty twist, and I'm on the floor.
Stupidly, I tied my shoe as tight as I could and kept playing. I was hobbling, couldn't turn or pivot at all. I kept playing for an hour after that.
I realized two hours later after McCormick and Schmicks', while I was driving (clutch), that my ankle was blowing up fast. Drove to Walgreens, bought an ace bandage and ice, but it was too late...next day it was bad. Couldn't even put any pressure on it at all. I had to borrow an automatic car and buy crutches to go to work.
Moral of the story, lessons learned:
1. Don't try to play through ankle injuries. No matter how much you love to play.
2. As soon as you can, lift your ankle above heart level and ice it.
3. Don't ice for too long at a time, you can damage tissue. Good idea would be to wrap it in cloth too.
4. Don't use ankle tape while you sleep because it's going to hurt like a son of a gun in the morning. You want circulation.
5. Stay off your damn foot until you can walk. Use crutches if you have to move, and keep your foot elevated when you sit down.
Once swelling goes down, start doing some alphabet exercises. Hopefully I can do that soon.

Re: Community Thread VII
Thanks Hermes, CC. All I can do is basically lay on my back with my laptop propped up on a pillow, lol. So I'll still be on RGM tons, lol.
Anyone else here ever been through a Rhinoplasty, Septoplasty or Turbinectomy? It sucks balls, lol. I'll try and get a couple of picture of my face if anyone's interested, lol.

Dang you guys. Walking wounded. Stop watching the Dodgers.
Sorry, Doc. If I even scratch my septum my eyes well up with tears and it hurts like hell, so I imagine you must have it bad. Pain killers at least?
I had Doc had the reverse michael jackson and he will not start looking like a black guy.

Re: Community Thread VII
Not much for painkillers, just 1 T3 every 4 hours or so. Hasn't been much pain overall, Nurse's said I'd have to take at least 2 at a time, lol. Just been a lot of blood flow and bruising, lol.

Good one. Hang in there man, I know what it's like being immobilized, it blows. Nice to see you more often on realgm. It's a nice break in between the pr0n, isn't it.

Re: Community Thread VII
Well, I got that cast on my nose for about 2 1/2 weeks. Bleeding and most of the swelling should be down significantly by tomorrow.
Haha thanks Miles. As for the pr0n, I'm sure it would be, however I'm to religious to know, lol.

Miles - after listening to "Hand Me Up To Dry" by Cold War Kids, I immediately got their album... good stuff, thanks for that.
Kno - Sick job on your skateboard, looks awesome.
I saw The Dark Knight a few days ago and I thought it was a little overrated but Heath did a fantastic job...
