Historically players do all their improvement within that time period. After year 5-6 it's pretty much who they are. They won't get much better. No skill-related aspect of a player's game is A LOT better at year 10 compared to what it was in year 5. That's how I see LeBron. He won't go from being a very mediocre to bad shooter for 5 years to becoming a consistent shooter. And a consistent shooter is what he'll have to be to have any shot at reaching MJ's level.
He's been just the best three-point shooter on the USA Team for two years now...
