in war, a plan is perfect until the first shot is fired, then the rest is reaction. this is the same thing. we have a plan, but the moment the season starts it could all go out the door if a) the rooks are not ready, b) nash gets inujred, or c) some other unforeseen thing happens
Mr. Barbosa, your minutes at back up PG are ready.
he has already been given the backup job and proven not up to the challenge. maybe he gets better, but i doubt it. he is just not naturally a pg
IMO,
I have to believe the team not going to try to accomplish the things they do when Nash is on the floor.
The team appeared to only have one style of offensive play that it was comfortable w/ for the last few years. (also appears defense wasn't practiced much)
The team must ADJUST the way the Celtics did when Eddie House was on the floor. House is not a natural PG, neither was Vinnie Johnson.
If the Celts can succeed w/ House, so can the Suns.
The Hill, Bell, and the other SG they bring in must be able to assume more handling duties in the half court.
That the team becomes more of a half court team when Nash is out is OK.
