I think a rivalry has to go both ways, so I won't count Orlando or Utah since Utah doesn't care about us and we really don't care about Orlando... those psychological obstacles are one-sided.

I agree with everything you just said. I also think that the Pistons respected Mike Brown as a coach since he got that lackluster teams pretty far in the playoffs using LeBron James, defense and rebounding.

Speaking of one-sided rivalries, that is how I feel about the Wizards. Why should I consider them a rivalry? Because a lot of their fans showed no class? I can't really blame them since they probably reached a boiling point after all those years in a row.

I definitely see Detroit as Cleveland's biggest rival, and I love that rivalry.

There are no rivalries anymore.

PLayers change teams so often that fans cant get attached to or hate enogh player for a rivalry to begin.

Rivalrys are all player based now.

Circa:
KG/Duncan
Kobe/Peirce
Paul/Williams

For the Knicks, I would say in order.

1. Bulls
2. Raptors
3. Nets
4. Celtics

Atlanta really has no rivalries. We aren't good enough. Closest thing we got is Boston and Orlando. Phoenix and Toronto have been exciting in recent years. Maybe in the next couple of years we can start seeing some intense games in the Southeast Division as (if) Atlanta, Miami and Charlotte get things together.

Atlanta Hawks biggest rival......

Phoenix Suns, their fans hate Joe..... i'm just kidding, they are not really rivals, but man, those fans really hate Joe, you should see the game boards when ever the Suns/Hawks play

their is also a thing with the Raptors, but i think that has to do more with the Toronto fans being so aggressive, i don't really get it, but i think they are that way with alot of other teams besides the Hawks.

3 out of 6 predicted CLE would win

5 out of 6 predicted the Pistons would win

5 out of 5 predicted LA would win (later amended to add someone to say BOS in 7)

It's a running joke in ESPN that a defensive team was just a regular season hoax. Untill the Celtics actually won.

Wolves don't have any rivalries; I think we had a rivalry with the Kings about 4 or 5 years ago, but that lasted like 2 months tops
