They owned us last year, we always lose the 2nd of a B2B, I've got the Hornets pegged down as WC 1st seeds, I've got CP3 pegged down as 2009 MVP, we're still learning how to play Terry Porter ball, we're not gonna play Nash 40 mins anymore...

So I really don't expect us to win this time. Would be cool to pull off the fairy tale tho.

go suns!

A 2-0 start would be wonderful, I like how we played with our second unit last night, hopefully more of the same tonight. The second unit is run best when Hill handles and the offense is run through Diaw, he is a great passer and seems to be getting more aggressive, I nearly jumped out of my seat when he went straight for the dunk on one of his first possessions. Hill was great too creating his own shots, I am confident that if our bench plays well, Suns will have no problem gettin' the W in this game.

CP3 is terrifying, especially if we're putting Nash on him. I expect him to go for ~40/13 tonight. Amare still isn't doing anything on D, so I'm thinking West will do pretty well, but hopefully Shaq can abuse Chandler.

I'm smelling a loss, but who knows, maybe we can pull this ish off.

I'm figuring a 115-104 loss.

The Suns are POOCHED defensively at the positions where New Orleans fields its best scorers, so I expect them to go off. Matt Barnes will do a good job "containing" Peja's dribble penetration but man defenders get lost on screens whether they're good or not and Peja needs an eyelash's width to get his jumper off, so even if he comes over the screen, it's gone before he can contest. And then there's Chandler, who'll be coming out high and then rolling for oops.

The Suns clearly need to force the ball out of Paul's hands wherever possible, which means they're going to have to swarm him. Maybe Dragic will have some success with that, bringing Raja over as help and trying to trap him or something. The problem is, the Hornets can field a lineup where Chandler is the only one who can't consistently hit a 20-foot jumper, which means trapping is a DANGEROUS proposition.

This game does worry me a little, but I don't think I can bring myself to predict a loss.

97-92 Suns!!

Does anyone know if Shaq will play tonight?

I remember somewhere Porter might limit his minutes or not even play him on back to backs?

So has anyone heard anything on his status or if he will play?

thanks

Well seeing as everyone is predicting a loss I think I might go with a win just to give our boys some confidence.

Suns 105-98

i had zero confidence for this game 3 days ago, but after watching us do okay against the spurs and watching the hornets struggle against a 7.5 man warriors team starting an undrafted rookie at PG, i cant help but feel better about our chances

i think the hornets deserve to start favouirtes, but im giving the suns a big chance in this one

it was so important to win yesterday, even if to just validate what porter is doing and build internatl confidence in him, to get another win today, against the best team in the west (IMO) would make that infinately greater too

i had to take the day off for family reasons, but hopefully i might get those things done in time to watch this game

I think Suns will come out slow this game and trail early 13-6, but then come back and play a decent game to win 93-89.

On ESPN's Streak for the cash I had to go with my Suns. I know the Hornets are going to be coming at us thinking they can beat us. I am hoping that Porter's defensive planning will help the Suns. Suns win by 3 but the score will be surprising. High or Low surprising?? Just don't know!

This game should be awesome.

Screw Peja for that 3 last year.

That is surprising that we are the favorites.
