You're underrating Okur, he plays exceptional defense especially against the center's we'll meet in the playoffs, he's an awesome rebounder, and causes mismatches with his offensive game.

I think Marion would find more opportunities to score within Jazz offense and he frees up cap space as I mentioned.
Okur causes positive mismatches and negative mismatches. His inability to play help defense or return from the picknroll defense keeps the Jazz from being equal to Boston and Lakers. The Jazz can run the offense without Okur, it's pretty obvious.

How did you like Shawn Marion? In my opinion he is more exciting player than AK.

He certainly is more exciting, and I hear he makes the lockerroom very exciting with all kinds of fireworks about playing time and scoring opportunities.

1. Marion has said that he hates Utah. He famously said also, "I can't watch the Jazz play. I'd rather put on a video, you know?"

2. Marion basically wanted out of Phoenix because he whined that he wasn't getting enough credit. Does that sound like a player who will jive with Sloan?

3. Kaman's a good center, but he's prone to "drifting." That is, not being as engaged as he should be. Whatever one says about Memo and his deficiencies, in my opinion, his head is always in the game and he's always passionate.

4. Kaman offers a better defensive presence, and he has a solid low-post game, but Memo is not totally incompetent on defense and has been noticeably diversifying his offensive game. The number of times Memo has gone down low this season and put the ball on the floor, with success, has been very heartening.

So, I take a pass on both of those trades. And I'm not sure the Heat or Clippers would be at all receptive anyway.

When's he's not the first or second option on the team. He's a **** prima donna that cares more about himself than his team. AK cried out of frustration because he felt that he wasn't being allowed to help his team. If you think AK and Sloan have a shaky coach-player relationship try to imagine what Marion's and Sloan's would be like. Marion benefited from D'antoni's system and you'd see his production decline dramatically in Sloan's.

First, Marion would be until-the-end-of-the-season solution. Dump AK'salary is main reason to trade for him. There is a difference between Stockton/Malone and Williams/Boozer team and Marion would be ok. He never was first option in his career. He is still very good player. D'Antoni system is execution system, it's not freelance, it's just quicker and more spreading oriented.

I take "drifting" Kaman over "passionate" Memo every day. Memo is totally incompetent on protecting the basket and picknroll defense and his inside game is about "put the ball on the floor, run into defender and shoot fallaway" which has pretty lame substance to be used against Celtics or Lakers. On the other hand Boozer and Kaman would be the best PF/C in the NBA.
