Miles, you're in Manhattan now right? I might be able to chill on Saturday night after my cornell/columbia dinner. Couple of my friends are throwing a party (not sure if its going to be in the city) but yeah I'll chkec the details and let you know. just as a warning, these are asian sorority girls (aKDPhi) so I dunno if you don't like that whole scene. unfortunatley, im not much of an intellectual nor do i have intellectual type friends, haha. it might be an affront to your Ivy-league sensibility. hehe :-D

I think I might also hit up the NBA store on Sunday mornig before my bus takes off, if you wanna chill somewhere around there. just lemme know!

My favorite has always been Soot Bull Jeep, catalina and 8th

Korean food really shines in it's barbecue, at least for me. I always hit up Soot Bull Jeep when I'm in L.A., just be aware that you will walk out smelling like barbecue.

This get's a HUGE second from me. The smoke and charcoal make all the difference in the flavor and the sides are top notch. Makes me hungry thinking about it.

What's up fellas... Been a while.

Hey EE,
was that bug feast over at Typhoon?

Zen! What rock did you crawl out from under? Losing in the Finals sucked, but it wasn't THAT bad, was it?

Yeah it was bad but it was really the 'being out of work' thing that was a killer. I was out for close to 5 1/2 months and just got a gig, funny enough, consulting for the company that laid me off for the next few months.

Beside that I just got real caught up in writing music in my spare time but wanted to pop in and say what's up to the Laker nation. 8-)

That sucks about the layoff. Seems like the hangman is making his rounds recently. We just rid of 50 people at my place of work. No telling what's going to happen next year as the economy bottoms out. At any rate, good to have you back.

Phil,

Staying at a hotel on the beach in SD tonight. Bringing wifey's friends from back east to SeaWorld, tomorrow. I was thinking maybe I can make time for a beer later, but I'm not sure how things will pan out just yet. You available for a late night beer? Shoot me a mail, that way, I'll get it on the phone no matter where I am.

If not this time, we'll have to do it some time soon.

Long story...

Now that I'm in University.. there is nothing wrong with those girls man! If you're going to get in a relationship, I'd suggest no, unless she's a down chick and you know she won't mess around. But if you're just looking for some fun, do it. As long as she's 18.

ZEN! What's up man. Long time, bro! Good to hear you're writing music. What have you been working on?

Sed, it's all good, let me know if you want to hang out in the city. Hey, I love asian sorority girls, I don't judge. Many of my friends back in L.A. are asian sorority girls. I miss L.A.!

And I'd love to be an intellectual, but unfortunately my life consists of trying to break into filmmaking, watching the Lakers, and trying to hit up chicks on the weekends. Typical L.A. guy, living the slacker life somehow in NYC.

EE, speaking of beer, do you know about the Anheuser Busch beer samples at Sea World? Pure genius.

hermes, i want my minute back.

With my blatant bias, awkward syntax, wordiness, and repetition? I should stick with fiction. I'm sure ST would agree.

But thanks, man, I appreciate the love.

They actually have more than just bud on tap, and some of their seasonal / speciality beers are surprisingly quaffable.

Okay guys wish me luck.
I was selected as one of the top showcars builders and owners to possibly do an ad campain for Eagle1 car care products.
Basically you do a commercial and you and your car becomes the ad campain spoke car model for this company and you do a segment with Overload car show as well.
It pays good but the main thing is Media exposure for my company and myself.
I went to their casting call yesterday and I was one of 40 people. '
The director was very impressed by me and my car, so I hope it works out.
Im not getting all hyped up about casue there were a lot of sick cars there, but I know Im probably top 5.
But they are looking for a combination of both, the owner and the car, since you'll be representing your own car and yourself.
Wish me luck Mangs...........

Not at all. While posting on message boards is certainly a different discipline than banging out, say, a 15-inch game story on deadline, it is not, as they say, rocket science. With your gift with words, I'm quite sure you could find a niche for yourself if you wanted to. Although I'm not sure you would -- the newspaper biz is in bad shape right now. I'll be more than a little surprised if I can make it through to retirement. The next few years could be the death knell.

Tony, that sounds awesome. You should post more pictures of your stuff. I'm not a big car or motorcyle guy, but I have to admit -- the really nice custom stuff is absolutely beautiful. Especially when there are a few teenage girls in skimpy lingerie draped all over the hood.

Hey Mang,

Dont you have some ties to Dub magazine? There was this really contrived show on Fox called "Secret Millionaire". It has nice intent, but painfully obvious how fake it is.

Anyway, I just saw an episode where the owner of Dub Magazine Myles something or other was on it and he went to live in Watts for a week and donate his money to the needy. He had some rides that reminded me of your rides and I think you mentioned to me that you worked with them. Just wondering...

good luck mang, let me be your agent. ;)
Cheers. — Mags
